What's so funny? Jenny asked, smiling brightly. Her green eyes shown in the impending darkness. Once again, her notebook clattered to the ground, landing at Charlie's feet, the page of the poem open.

'' ahh nothing, just I think im gonna end up sleeping on the streets'' he said looking back at Jenny then at that moment the note book that belonged to Jenny fell to the ground by his feet ''Ill get that --'' he said and scooped up the book and to his surprise he saw the page with the poem written on it. He let his grey eyes scan the words briefly before handing back the book to her.'' I saw you righting this earlier, its great '', he said smiling resting his elbow on the table placing his chin on his palm as he held his head up. And looked over the park, he was starting to believe Jenny must be good at everything, he could only imagine how good at riding she would be.good enough to show me up anyway. that was true to anyone though, having not ridden in a while, he had no idea if he would have any recollection of what he had learned while he was young.

I have an extra room in my house, if you wouldn't mind staying with three girls, two dogs, four cats, and a ignorant colt... Jenny said, still blushing at the fact he had read her poem. She held her chin in her hands as she stared across the park and to the lake. She stared into the cristaline blue water.

He heard her words and smiled slightly and looked over at her ''Really? You'd let me stay? Your sure you’d be able to put up with me?'' he joked, rotating his left shoulder as it began to ache from leaning on it and then sat back up again.'' Of course I wouldn’t mind, I like cats anyway. I’m sure I could get to like dogs, and 3 girls?... well I'll cross that bridge when I come to it''. Charlie waited for a reply.Wow, i might have just found myself somewhere to stay, even if its only a day, at least I'll be able to sort my life out. He thought this without display on his face what he might be thinking, and then coming out of his thoughts he spoke ''Well if you'll really let me then I'd be glad to come and stay... I can pay rent or something if you like --?''

Forgit about it! Jenny said laughing. Jessi ran towards Jenny. Jen...ny....I....found............guitar....... She managed to pant. She threw the guitar at Jenny, and began running back the way she had come. Some lyrics had fallen out of the bag. I sighed, remembering hearing the story from when I was little. I had written a story about The Lost Children. The lyrics read:
Jacob's Dream In the spring of 1856 with the snow still on the ground Two little boys were lost in the mountains above the town The father went out hunting the boys had stayed behind While Mother tended to her chores they wandered from her side
The two had gone to follow him and lost their way instead By dusk the boys had not been found and fear had turned to dread 200 men had gathered there to comb the mountain side The fires were built on the highest peak in hopes they'd see the light
Oh Mommy and Daddy why can't you hear our cries The day is almost over, soon it will be night We're so cold and hungry and our feet are tired and sore We promise not to stray again from our cabin door
Now Jacob Diverd woke one night from a strange and erie dream He saw a path between two hills near a dark and swollen stream He told his wife he saw the boys huddled close beside a log For two more nights the dream returned this vision sent from God
Oh Mommy and Daddy why can't you hear our cries The day is almost over, soon it will be night We're so cold and hungry and our feet are tired and sore We promise not to stray again from our cabin door
A thousand men had searched in vain the west side of Pop's Creek But Jacob's wife knew of this place and said to travel east With a guide to take him there, Jacob came upon the scene And found the boys cold and still beneath the old birch tree
Oh Mommy and Daddy, look past the tears you cry We're both up in Heaven now, God is by our side As you lay us down to rest in the presence of the Lord Know that we will meet you here at Heaven's door
Oh Mommy and Daddy, look past the tears you cry We're both up in Heaven now, God is by our side And as you lay us down to rest in the presence of the Lord Know that we will meet you here at Heaven's door. I sigh again, staring at the paper fluttering lightly on the ground befor ebending to retrieve it..

He laughed with Jenny but stopped when he saw another girl running over to the table and caught her panted words before she threw a guitar to Jenny. Hmm? She even plays guitar? He thought momentarily before his eyes drifted to the fluttering paper, but since she had been embarrassed about his earlier reading of the poem she'd written Charlie decided to leave it at that. Anyway, moments later Jenny went to pick it up herself, thinking that Jenny just avoided another bump on the head, because of Charlie day dreaming again, lucky for her he hadn’t picked it up or tried to the same time as her. For another moment he was silent and then spoke up ''You play that guitar then?''

Since I was twelve, Jenny conformed. She took the guitar out of the bag, she nodded to the song lightly. Do you wanna here? She asked softly, her dark hair billowing around her face. Her emerald eyes shone with light tears, glaring at the lyrics for a moment, before looking into the sky. Her features outlined softly in the slow-gaining darkness, but she readied her pick.

''Sure thing'' he said looking at her features illuminated by the setting sun that glowed far away over the mountains, half of it still visible over the distant peaks. He was glad he had fallen on his face earlier, if it meant that he could meet Jenny. Who would of thought that the first person he met in this new town would be her, not just some old whacked up hippy.

Jenny began singing softly, drawing the pick across the strings. In the spring of 1856 with the snow still on the ground Two little boys were lost in the mountains above the town The father went out hunting the boys had stayed behind While Mother tended to her chores they wandered from her side

She looked up at Charlie, tears illuminating her eyes. ((http://www.tudou.com/programs/view/IMaS6FUBeYs/))

Charlie hadn’t heard this song before though it sounded well written. He was sorry he didn’t know the story behind it, but still he listened intently to Jenny singing. As the song drew to a close a noticed the drops of tears that welled from her eyes glowing gold in the setting sun.''Hey... you okay?'' he said softly, ever so softly and tentatively moved a little closer and put a hand comfortingly on her shoulder.

The story is about two little boys who tried to find their father,Jacob. They froze to death... it bothers me... She said, a single silver tear rolling down a smooth cheek. She noticed a hand on her shoulder, and smiled warmly at him.

[ooc - oh la la, i didn’t reply for a long time, sorry!]
Charlie smiled back and removed his hand slowly, he noticed it was growing steadily darker and he rotated his shoulder slightly, his grey eyes passing over the people now leaving the park to go home, but some of them still remained there, either groups of people just chatting or those getting ready to leave. Charlie saw the faint glow of the moon in the indigo sky, a ghostly orb just hanging there. He heard some muffled shouts and a few men walked in through the park entrance, staggering blindly about and brandishing bottles of beer whilst singing nosily and completely out of tune. Charlie recognized the regular slurred voices and muttered something darkly about the drunk group of men

Jenny gave him a questioning look, but said only, It's a beautiful night. Her hair billowed lightly in the breeze, and she stared into the moon, watching for something, yet nothing. She smiled as a shooting star went past, straight above the two of them.

''It is --'' he said, looking up also at the sky scattered with stars. He smiled slightly as the shooting star passed overhead. Charlie gave a sigh and glanced somewhat longingly at Jenny, since the song incident, he had felt a strange feeling within him when he looked at Jenny. Could it be he liked her? But she probably already had a boyfriend or something. He sighed and looked away. If he had been a bolder person, he might have said ''—like you''. His thoughts were interrupted as the lights that lined the path in the park were tuned on and bathed the grass around them in a low golden glow. Looking back at Jenny, he smiled and studied her features illuminated by the moons glow.
