Sam was in the pasture, bellowing at Josh to get off his butt and grab the calf's legs. Bellowing back, he did so andtried to pull. The heifer was having complications. Scurring up to teh deck, Jay panted,"Hayli.. Karli.. Sam.. needs her... vet bag..."

Hayli and Karli rushed to find the vet bag.Hayli came back out with the bag."Wait here you two!"Karli said as the two ran back down to the pasture with the bag and Jay

ay sprinted ahead of them to teh pasture where Sam and Josh worked. The heifer was on her side, panting, and the calf was slowly coming out. But it was rear end first, not good. Sam swore and Josh tugged again, growling. Both were covere diwth sweat and Sam had blood and smily stuff up to her elebows."Its a big son of a bitch," Sam gasped, helping Josh pull. THe poor heifer cried out mournfully, Jay stroking her head and murmering softly.

Sam grunted, tugging."Just stnad back please. This is a fucking large asss heifer and she is coming out the fucking wrong end," she gasped."And pardon my frech." Josh let go and dug around in Sam's vet bag."Sam, I don't wanna have to cut this heifer up. He is a show heifer," he said worriedly. Sam kept pulling, the calf slowly pulling out inch by agonizing inch."Just find the muscle relaxant," she snapped, growing hot and tired. Her arms never had to pull this hard to remove a calf.

Josh jabbed the needle around the womb, teh muscles already relaxing. Under her breath, Sam muttered different things that could go wrong nd pulled the calf out, its flopping onto the ground. The heifer got up, alittle shaky, and began to lick her baby. THe calf seemed to cuogh and began to bleat her protests. Sam smiled softly.
