Josh twirled the rpe over hsi head, walking over to teh fighting stallion. The loop was tossed adn went around the Acre 8's neck and he pulled hard, almsot knocking him off his feet. Sam waved her hands at the paint, making him stop.

The paint stallion looked to Sam and stopped bucking about.
The Acre 8 roan stallion was pulled down from the battle with his brother.He snorted

Josh tied the rope to a post and walked forward, talking softly. He touched his side, and then his neck, murmering softly still. Sam walked carefully up to the paint, looking at him with gentle eyes.Hey sweetie. Why are you unhappy? she asked softly, reaching out to stroke his neck.

Sam rubbed his nose gently, talking to him gently. Her hands tickled his nose gently and and she smiled. Josh tugged him back downand touched his shulder, talking quietly.

Sam blew back into hsi face and sracthed behind his ear.Hmmm I an thinkng of a name for you. How do you like Indian Paintbrush? Sam asked. It was her favorite flower and could suit him. Josh rubbed the stallion's neck, looking at him.I think you already got a name.. Acre 8, he said, looking the stallion over.

Sam grinned adn rubbed his neck again before moving to teh other stallion, catious. Josh let Acre 8 go and patted his neck as eh watched Sam move to teh toher stallion, his hand ready to twirl teh rope adn loop it around his neck incase he tried to get her.

Sam jumped back and a gray thing streaked over, standing between Sam and the stallion. It was Lady and she was snarling at teh stallion, her hackles raised. She ws bigger tahnmost dogs and could take this horse. Josh began to wlak over by Sam but she made him stop witha look.
