The mare scrambled to her feet, long enough to whinny fericly to the male that took Cherokee away. She wanted him back. Then she once again collapsed, she sighed, knowing she couldn't be confortable without her mate. She nuzzled Sam, hoping she would get the hint. She looked at Lacy with pleading eyes to get Cherokee back.

Sam rubbed hte mare's nose and looked at her helper. He nodded and stepped forward, running his hand along her face. He was a young horse whsperer, close to any horse. Closing his eyes, he held Pixie's head in hsi hands for awhile adn looked up at Sam and then the mare."Sorry girl.. He can't come over or Sam might get mad and send him into the barn," He siad softly, in her ear. Sam smiled at her helper and looked at Lacy, her eyes dark."Well call her and ask her. I need HER permission since she is the owner." Her voice showed no nonsense, no buts.

Sam looked at Lacy adn then went back ot talking."^You have a helper called Lacy and she brought in a mare with a broken ankle." Her voice showed she was kinda pissed about teh girl bringing the mare in without the owner.

Sam cracked her neck."DO you want me to do surgery? OR just put her down? I don't know if it will heal well but it is a clean break so thats a small blessing. I am also trying to learn why she got it broke."

Pixie settled when the boy spoke, she didn't struggle, she layed there, eyes half closed, wondering if she should give up her life to be with Lexington, her last beloved mate.
