Pixie tortted around the pasture fence, her head was parralell to the ground as she lighty favored her foot, but she didn't make it noticable, she wanted the boy to ride her forever. She had never been broken to ride, so it was a big improvement.

Jay turned the mare, nuding her gently, and rode her to the gate. It was getting late and he had to put her in before supper started. Sam would get upset if he didn't bring Pixie in for her dinner.

Jay hopped off and led the mare back into the barn, rubbing her neck gently.

Pixie obediantly followed, her sore leg a tiny bit tender.

Once she was in the barn, Jay took a lead rope, cliped it on her halter and looked at her, dropping it.Ground tie, he said and walked to get a bucket with some water to clean her leg.

Jya cmae back and the water was also soapy. He grabbed a sponage and dunked it in teh water, squeezing it over her leg. The soap ran down, cleaning a small line that opened up while they were riding. That was where she was cut open to get to her broken leg fixed.

Jay cleaned it then patted it dry, putting a loose bandage on it so no dust, dirt, or straw got in it. Then he led her into her stall for her food and water, pills hidden in her feed to keep her healthy. Sam perscribed them since she was now a new horse in their stable.
