I watched the young one run up and down the fence, rearing as though in the wild. I shook my head; this one would need a lot of work.So what, are you going to be rearing and bucking and having a good ol' time when you should be protecting your herd? Are you going to put them in danger? I shouted to him.

Then you have to learn to control yourself! I responded.You'll have to save your energy for keeping the herd in line, fighting others that want your herd, and protecting the mares from cougars.

I sighed, allowing myself time to think.Do you know what it takes to be able to win a fight? Strength, endurance, wit, willpower, cunning, brains, and guts. That's probably more than you have.
