Miranda smiled. So far, the main people around our stable that do most of the work is Alyssa and me. My kids help out with the feeding, tacking, all that in the morn' and eve butwe need some other workers that can help with exercising and working the horses that don't get riden as much, she said.

Jen nodded.I remember what that was like when it was only me, Jen, and Billie. She paused for a moment, thinking. If you want, you can always send some horses over to us, when you're busy training other horses, and we can excercise them for you.

With a soft laugh, Miranda shook her head.Don't worry. We can manage. Thankyou for your offer, though. We will be sure to send any down we need your help with. Captian lifted his head and gave a high whinny, his ears perked. In the pastures far below, smallish horses began to gallop to the far side, answering the stallion's whinny.

With a nod, she replied,Sounds good, before turning her attnetion to the horses down the hill. Theft ed his ears and whinnied down to them as well, taking a step to follow them. Jen reined him in and looked to Miranda.

As the horses galloped along the fence, Captian neighed to them, tossing his mane. As one, the herd turned in a graceful looking move and ran towards the riders and their horses. With a click of her tongue, Miranda kept captian standing in place, though he itched to join his herd. Their Gypsys, Drafts and Thoroughbreds were in that herd, the one Captian 'regined.'

Theft stayed in place, though eager to join Flawless' domestic herd. Jen rubbed his neck and watched the band of Thoroughbreds, Vanners and Drafts. Back at Crystal, they had Quarters, Thoroughbreds, Arabians, Egyptian-Arabians, Welsh Ponies, Vanners, a few fresians, a Percheron, and a herd of six or seven mustangs. Such a wide variety of horses kept things interesting.Do you just do Vanners, Thoroughbreds and Drafts, or do you have others?{/b]

Oh no, we have many others. This is just our show and racer herd. Also I think some of our lesson horses are down there. Alyssa loves the cattle and gaming horses so there are plenty of Appies, Quarters, Arabs, and crosses around here, Miranda smiled. We have some Wleshs, some Forest Ponies, Lipazzan or two, and some other breeds I am forgetting. Captian gave a loud neigh and tossed his head, prancing excitedly. The fence came through the trees, along the bottom of the hill then up through the trees to the top. The herd dashed through the trees, looking mystifying, and halted some 20 feet away at the fence, whinnying eagerly to the other horses.

Jen nodded, impressed by their wide range of breeds. We have several mixes at Crystal. We got a lot of horses at the auction and the Rescue, trying to rehabiliate those who'd been abused. she paused for a moment, turning her attention to Theft and checking for any signs of him going to the horses that stood at the fence, beckoning them.Sasha and I work with a lot of horses who need a second chance. When we came here, it was what we agreed that it would be one of our main focuses.

Miranda smiled softly.Alyssa is too brash and bull headed to work well with rehab horses. Thats my task. We have had quite a few come through here. We can't keep all the ones we help out so we are mainly a foster home, like Green Creek. Sam gets a major amount of the really bad horses, seeing she is the only vet and all and has the best acondomations for them. I think right now, she has 23 rehab horses and 6 horses that are horribley abused, Miranda said, patting Captian's neck. He snorted softly and watched the horses nearby, one eye on them and another on Theft, wary of him.

Jen chuckled, saying,Yeah, sometimes we get a bit impatient, but then we remember what they've been through. Some of the rehab horses we have right now will probably be sold to a good home. They deserve to have a better life, so they can live out the rest of their life happily. she paused, pushing some of the appy's mane over to one side of his neck.Course, that's a way off, seeing as most of them don't really know how to trust humans yet.
