April smiled and nodded.Let's go to the front desk and you can fill out the adoption papers. Just to be warned, I have to stop in once a month for six months to make sure Millie is being cared for correctly and she is doing fine. A rescue dog thing, she said with a apologetic smile.Most aren't treated that bad but when they are, we keep an eye on them for awhile. Hard to let your rescue baby go.Bandit was let out sohe could follow the others, Millie was already at the front desk, and May sat before the kennel door,plainly waiting for her command.May, up and heel, April called and the Rottie got up and trotted over to the officer's right side.I will have to teach you her commands before you go. I think they are programed into her brain because it took us forever to find out her commands.

April handed Sasha Badit, who sat there blinking in a bored way. Millie laid on the rug by the front desk, her eyes dancing.When May is away from you and you want her to come, go May, up and heel. If you want her to sit, jsut say Seated, May sat down, watching April.Up is, well, up. May stood up and seemed to be eager to please.To have her gaurd say May, Hiele and if you want ehr to play just say Relax, April said, rubbing the Rottie's ears.

Sasha took Bandit and listened carefully to April.Sounds easy enough. It'll take me a few days to get used to different commands, but I think I got it. So, where do I sign and what do I pay?

April went behind the desk, after telling May to Halt, and brought out some papers and adoption forms.Here ya go and the adoption fee will be, April totaled it up in her head.$125.

Sasha reached into her back pocket and took oiut her checkbook, quickly writing out a check for $125. She handed that to April before signing all the papers.Is that it? She asked, looking up from the papers.

April nodded with a smile.You can have a choice of any of the leashes. One for each pooch. We get them for free for merchinside sales men and have waaayyy too many, she said, pointing over at the leash wall. There were solid colored ones, ones with prints, and anyother thing you could think of.

Cool beans. She said with a smile. She picked out a blue and black pawprint leash for Millie, a red and black pawprint leash for May, and a lime green and black pawprint leash for Bandit. Sasha bent down and clipped a leash on each dog.Thanks, April. If you ever have any dogs that need to be fostered or adopted, you can always give me a ring.
