Stephanie nodded to the guy at the door. She moved to a table at the back. She sat down and felt as if she needed to find people to hang out with. She looked around at all the people who had came there together. She frowned and just sat there. But knew the dogs were being watched now. She wasn't so worried anymore. But she was alone and she never liked being alone at all. She wanted someone to talk to or something. If she couldn't find anyone she would get up and leave for a while. Then come back and try it all again. But she looked down at the table fiddling with her wallet chain.

Ryan had come to check out the night life of New Hope. He'd only been here a couple of days but he'd heard that the night club was usually pretty lively, so he'd come to check it out. After all, he'd had a good day. He'd got a job offer, and had decided to celebrate it. He pushed open the door and was immediately surrounded by the noise and lights. It was almost like being back home in the city, he thought with a smile. He made his way over to the bar. He figured that he'd be more likely to find people on their own at the bar as all the couples would probably be already dancing. He sat down next to a girl who looked like she was on her own, and leaned across to her."This place is pretty lively, right?" He paused, glancing around, then said,"I'm Ryan, by the way. Kinda new round here; I wanted to check out the night life."

Stephanie looked up when she heard someone talking to her." I'm Stephanie Spellman. I moved here yesterday. My brothers and sister are watching my dogs" said Stephanie. She hoped maybe to figure out how to even be abale to get home to feed her dogs. But she also wanted to have some fun.

Ryan grinned."You have dogs? Me too; well, one. She's like my travelling companion I guess. What're your ones' names?" he enquired. Stephanie.. it was a nice name. And it suited her well, he thought. Although, she seemed to be a girl of few words. Or maybe she was just shy. He ran a hand through his hair, wondering how to continue the conversation. Then, smiling at her again, he said,"Can I get you a drink?"

Stephanie nodded." Mine are named Amigo and Bingo they go almost everywhere with me. But I couldn't bring them here. I own a horse named Day Dreamer who is a sweetheart with all people she meets. Um, sure you can get me a drink" said Stephanie. She wasn't shy any longer. Soon she would become nervous and start to blab on and on about random things.

Ryan smiled. By the way Stephanie talked about her dogs, he could tell she loved them a lot. It was nice to see that people here had dogs too. And she had a horse."I've always wanted a horse of my own," he admitted,"Although I might be getting a job at PineBrook so I'll be able to work with horses there." Talking about it made his stomach feel funny; he really wanted to get the job."I do mainly cross-country. How about you?" he asked casually. Then, when she affirmed his request to get her drink, he turned to the bar and ordered two midly alchoholic cocktails. He could afford to have a bit of a drink considering he was in a night club, with a girl.

" Mainly I do show jumping and cross country" said Stephanie. She hadn't realized that she wasn't becoming nervous at all. She knew she wasn't shy. She knew one thing she was being sent a horse from her uncle but knew she wouldn't have time to ride it. But then again she would have to find some time to ride it. She was looking around for a job that had to do with horses. But even if it was not just her two main things to do with them she could learn.

"Really? We should go riding sometime," he suggested with a wry smile. The bartender passed him the drinks andhe pushed one towards Stephanie before taking a sip of his own. The sharp, tangy taste hit his tongue like fire. He glanced over at her."I hope you like it," he said. He thought she probably be would. She already seemed to be relaxing, which he was very glad about. He was much better at talking to people who weren't shy, and it seemed like she was coming out of her shell now. The drink would probably help, too."So, you're new around here too? Where are you staying right now?" he enquired, thinking about the town house he'd just bought. He would be moving in tomorrow or the day after; how exciting.

" I live in Town House six. I'd like to go riding sometime" said Stephanie. She took a small sip from the drink. It hit her tounge. She usually never drank stuff like this. Her tounge tingled for a few seconds but then she started liking it." I like it" she said.

"I'm glad you like it!" Ryan replied enthusiastically. He was pleased she was into the same sort of stuff as him; it was nice to have a kindred spirit in a new town. Up until today, he had been wondering whether this town was the right place for him; after all, nothing had gone to plan really. But, sitting in here with a girl who seemed to be really friendly, made him feel a little more at home."Really? I was thinking of buying house 5. It would be great if we were neighbours; maybe I could come see your dogs sometime." It wasn't really a question; after all, Ryan didn't want her to think he was pushing to get through her door - but he was interested in her, it was true. He took another gulp of his drink, smiling shyly over the rim of his glass. Stephanie looked really pretty in the glomy light of the nightclub, her blonde hair shimmering. Shaking himself back to reality, he said,"So, know of any good places around town yet?"

" I don't know any good places just yet. It would be great if we were neighbors. If you want to see my dogs you can at anytime if we end up being neighbors" said Stephanie. She was warming up a bit to talking to him. She thought he was sweet and funny. She smiled a bit.

"Thanks," replied Ryan warmly. Her thought Stephanie seemed really friendly. She didn't seem to mind his overly-chatty nature. He finished his drink, savouring the last drops of the tangy liquid on his tongue and watching Stephanie with a half-smile. He wanted to think up something clever to say so he could impress her, but couldn't find a topic. Instead, he turned to order another drink, but not before he had turned back to look at her. He gestured to her glass."Another of the same? Or do ya want something different?"

" Something a bit stronger might be good" said Stephanie smiling. She really wanted to have a good coversation starter. She had an idea. She had finished off her drink and knew she liked it. She was warming up more. She wanted to be more then just friendly she wanted to be known as someone other then the girl who owns too many pets.

Ryan grinned, surprised but pleased, and slightly amused. It showed that she was obviously enjoying herself. Turning, he ordered two margaritas. The tequila would give him a kick start, that was for sure. He was glad he'd come by taxi, since there was no way he'd be driving home himself tonight. As the drinks arrived, he passed one over to Stephanie while taking a sip of his. The firey tequila make his tongue tingle in the most exciting way. He hadn't had one of these in ages. With reknewed figure, he turned to Stephanie, waiting to see whether she'd like it, relaxing into his chair more than he had all evening. He was glad he'd come here, and met her. She was the first person who'd actually talked to him since he'd arrived.

Stephanie took a drink of it. She missed getting these. She really liked it. But hesitated and bit her tounge wondering what she could do. She had drove herself here. Her truck was how she got here. She wondered how she would get home now." I like it a bit better then the first drink" said Stephanie.
