The drinks clacked on the table when the waitress put them on it. She smiled to the waitress,Salad with Ranch dressing She told her order and waited for Caleb to order. She listened to what he said and looked confused she raised an eye brow.What do yuo mean? Summer wondered what he mean by 'It must be nice just to be able to ride whatever you like, whenever you like.' She knew there was a story behind that statement, and she waited to hear it.

He thanked the waitress once the drinks came and then once SUmmer ordered, he put in his order for a cheeseburger and fires. She left with a smile and then he heard her question. He stayed quiet for a moment and then replied softly.Well...I meant that you got to do what you wanted with your horse..and you didn't have anyone always telling you what to do and how ti do it..unless I'm mistaken. He explained and waited patiently for her reply. |

Summer still looked puzzled. She sipped at her drink for a moment trying to take what he just said and fit it into words that'd actually make sense. Biting the starw deep in thought trying to make heads or tails of what he said.No, but why are you bringing this up, did somebody do this to you? Summer wondered what he meant by that her dad had trained her to ride and she wasn't always racing or jumping. He basically let he go off and do what ever she pleased.

He had thought that she had maybe gone through the same thing..but he had been wrong. He shifted slightly, but he was honest with her.Well my father pushed...but it doesn't amtter now.. He offered. He waited for her reply and then looked up as the waitress delievered their food.Thanks.. He told her and then watched a she walked away. He looked back at Summer and then back to his food. |

Summer didn't want to push him to tell the whole story, she knew that when he felt better around her he would. She picked up her fork and stabbed a piece of lettece. She ate it delicatly, crunching it softly. She smiled to Caleb again, watching him before she took another piece of lettuce to eat. She took out some carrot shreddings and put them in her napkin she smiled she took them all out and kept them for the horses. Summer hoped he wouldn't think she was weird but She'd already promised them to Flash.

He was glad she didn't push the subject, and he watched her eat for a moment before biting into his own food. There wasn't a lot of conversation when they were eating, but that was arlight with him for now. He finished after a while, and he still had some left, but he was full. He watched as she took the carrot slices out.Flash will be a happy guy tonight..but Jim might get jealous. He said playfully and leaned back a little, corssing his arms. |

Summer smiled happy he understood and didn't think she was weird. She'd finished half her salad and was full. She smiled shaking her head knowing that Jim would get jealous. She'd get a carrot for him, but the shreddings were for flash, and some had soem dressing on them a good little kick to the average carrot.But I promised them to him, I'll give Jim a carrot from the feed room. Summer never wanted to make any horse jealous for another, they were both basically getting the same thing.

Summer smiled and brought the napkin close near her so nodody would take it from her. She brushed her hair back with a delicate hand. She smiled up to Caleb and wondered what he was thinking about. Then finally her mind drifted back to horses, she knew that Flash would be alseep in his stall, but she wondered about Jim. She could almost see Flash asleep in his stall, and Jim waiting up for Summer. she wondered if he would be waiting for her to return.

Caleb took a deep breath and then looked back at her. She had held the napkin closer to her and when the waitress smiled and brought the check and cleared their places, she still had the napkin. He paid easily, giving the woman a ten dollar tip as well. It was just the right amount. He put it back on the table and when she asked for change,h e shook his head. She thanked him and told them both to have a good night. He looked back at Summer.Ready? |

Summer smiled and thanked the woman also, she was very pleasent. When Caleb's question came up Summer was ready, she couldn't wait. She wanted to feel the warm sand underneath her and have a lot of Fun. She smiled again and started out to the jeep, through the open door that Caleb held and the Jeep door in which was open also. Summer shooked her head and said thank you everytime that he did something nice for her.

Again, every time she said thank you, he followed it with a your welcome. He closed the door behind her and went to his side, getting in. He closed his door and then put the key in the ignition and started it up. It coughed to life and he put it in reverse, looking behind him as he backed up. He shifted again and pulled forward and out of the parking lot, driving to the beach. ((I'll make a post)) |
