Chris glared at Kyle."Never call me anything but Chris or I'll have your head." She warned grumpily. She turned happily to Sasha. Now Sasha, would you like to come to the ranch and pick out another Mare and Foal or would you like to overrun Caleb's price for the pair? She asked kindly. She turned back to Caleb."It's up to you two." She smiled.

Sasha thought for a moment.I really like this pair, but before I decide, what other mares and foals do you have?

"Well, I don't have pictures but there is a pinto mare with a dun filly, a bay mare with a chestnut colt, a pinto mare with a pinto foal, a dun mare with a pinto colt, and some others." She said.

I don't know, I really like the buckskins. How much did Caleb offer?

He hasn't yet. She replied at first.Jake just bred a mustang buckskin mare with a pinto stallion that was a mustang, she's due to foal next week.

Well then, let's see if I can beat Caleb's price, when he offers it.

Chris nodded. He wants them all though.

Well, then, can we ask him what he would offer for that pair? Sasha suggested.Or he could take the others, all I want are the mare and foal.

Caleb let the pair talk, taking in the words gently. He really wanted all of them to keep them together...it would probab;y be better for them as a herd. Sighing softly, he spoke easily.Well..my thoughts are that it would be better to keep them all together as a herd. So I would offer $15,000 for the pair, and then $40,000 for them all. He said, stepping back and crossing his arms a bit. He would go higher, for he could afford it.

Sasha listened to Caleb before responding. If he'll go $15,000, I'll go $15,500. She watched him, knowing he would go higher.

Chris sighed irrtibly, not that the pair was frusterating her, she was just tired from helping a mare foal this morning at 2, the mare took 'till 5 to get the foal to nurse and stand. She looked at the two.How about Caleb takes all since they did come from the same herd, and you can come and pick what ever horse you want except a full-fledged broodmare? She asked.Or Vice Versa.

Caleb heard her sigh and immediately backed off. If the woman really wanted to separate the pair from the herd they had known all of their life, then that was her choice. He looked over as he heard Chris's words, and spoke up.I would definitely like to take all of them...and I'll give you $60,000. He had $5,000 more, and then that was it. He waited for their replies.

Well, then I'll go for all of them too. I'll pay $65,000. Sasha had wanted only the pair, but now thinking she realized it would be cruel. Besides, buying wild or problem horses was what she did.

Another deep breath escaped the pink lips of the twenty six year old. She thought back, of the stallion, the mares, the colt, the flicka...the herd, all from the same...except the stallion....Little Spunky Squirt, all of the others had been bought from the BLM, Bearu of Land Managment, he was adopted from Free Running Riding Stables, he was still wild, let out on their 20,000 acres. Never ridden, never halter broken, never shod, nor trimmed."Caleb, how about you let Sasha take the mare and flicka, and you can have a choice of your favorites of the rest of their herd." She said gently.
