A dark green truck drove in, pulling a trailer behind it. The driver looked around and found the loading dock, also where they unloaded. There was a big sale today and his boss wanted to sell some stock. With a grunt, he parked the truck and began to unload the horses. Sam, his boss, soon came and helped him, guiding the nervous horses in and settling them in the stalls they were asigned. Once all were settled, she tacked up sheets of paper on the stall doors, stating their name and other information. Harriet entered the Selling area and browsed over the stock, looking for something. Her hazel gaze examinied each equine, as she left her seat at a bench, making a selection. She walked to the stables, walking down the aisle. She hovered over a section where there seemed to be some eight horses all from the same place. She stopped at a paint, Maria, still looking at the others in nearby stalls. Hey there girly... She cooed, letting her arm drop into the stall.

Kai drove up in his black and silver horse transporter, one of his employees, Charlie Downer, had let him know that there was a big sale on some horses, and Charlie had gotten some important information on some of them. Kai jumped down from the vehicle when it was parked and, closing the door behind him, moved off towards where the horses were. He spotted the horse he was particularly interested in, Yin Yang. He slowly approached the stall where he saw the paint stud. Examining the information tacked on the door, he considered the stallions price. It wasn’t to high, Kai deciding he would check out the other horses before he made any final decisions. He wandered past some stalls, he saw another person, guessing she was here to buy some of these horses. Casting his eyes to the left, the young man spotted a Halflinger mare, standing dozily in her stall. He walked over slowly, and examined the notice on her stall door,Lotsa Pixie Dust, Halflinger, 3 years old.. he read in his mind,... mare... Cross Country his eyes lit up, and he read on, a decent price as well. He decided he would see if he could buy her, Pixie would be a valuable addition to the stables. One more horse I need to look at now, Ava Blitzter...Ava Blitzter...Ava-.. there! he thought and spotted the buckskin yearling a stall away, he passed a Blue Roan mare on his way, glancing at her as he walked on, and then stopped at the filly’s stable.$2000...prospect for Dressage or Jumping... Kinger Mustang.. She sounded like a good horse to look into about buying, so these were the tree Charlie had mentioned. But he was going to spend quite a bit. He stepped away from the stables, noticing a young woman sorting papers in an empty stall. He pulled his cell phone from his jeans pocket and flipped it open, after dialing a number, a voice answered on the other end.''Hello?'' Charlie said on the other line. ''Hey Charlie, its Kai. I'v just had a look at the horses, the ones you said about..'' ''Well?'' ''I'm thinking about buying all three of them. It'll cost a bit though..'' ''C'mon Kai, I mean ... I'll put some money in .. how much all together? ''Hmm.. about $18,900'' ''I'll pay $4000, I'll give you a check when your back, okay?'' ''Alright. I'll give it a go. Later'' He flipped the phone shut and replaced it, then turning on the spot he made his way towards the girl sitting in the empty stall. He stopped a little way from her and spoke up ''Umm, excuse me, but I understand I need to see you about buying some of these horses?'' he asked, waiting for a response.

Sam was speaking on her cell, her brow furrowed.Sandy, calm down. Now, make sure she is comfortable in ehr stall. No, no, NO! Do not try to help! She can do all the work and I do not want to lose that foal because you did something rash. If anything happens, call me and I will head out. No, people have looked but they keep on walking. Ok, ok, ALRIGHT already! Just get some coffee from the vet office and sit in the barn office by the tv. Remeber, that stall has a video camera so you can keep an eye on her. Ok.. ok bye, she said, snapping it shut. Her brow eyes looked up at the guy standing there, then flickered quickly to the girl talking to Maria.Hello sir. Which horses are you interested in? she asked, getting up stiffly. Just the other day, a panicking down horse kicked her in the thigh. Oh well. Nothing big.We can take a look at them quick then sit back here. Doc said I can't be on my leg too much. A very, very large dog lifted its head from the hidden part of the stall, giving a booming woof. The wolfhound got up and trotted after Sam, tail wagging.Oh, pardon my manners. Sam Tupa, town vet and owner of Green Creek, she said, offering her hand to shake.

Kai listened off handedly to the conversation she was having on her cell phone, and stood waiting with his hands in his pockets patiently until she was finished.''Well, I’ve had a look at some of them. But I'm interested in buying Ava Blitzter, Lotsa Pixie Dust and Yin Yang, would that be possible?''. Kai almost jumped with surprise as the dog appeared and barked, but settled in time to answer what Sam had just said.''Nice to meet you, I'm Kai Winters.. I'm the owner Pine Brook Stables..'' he said, taking her hand and giving it a shake in the form of formal greeting.

Sam nodded and walked stiffly over to Yin's stall. Now, you know this is Yin Yang. We call him Oreo sometimes and thats easier to hollar out across the pasture. Now come here stud muffin, she said, hooking his halter and leading him out of the stall. The stallion snorted and tossed his head, prancing elegantly. His neck arched nicely and his nostrils flared, ears perked.Thats his 'Oh aren't I pretty?' stand. The judges loved it when he did that during dressage. Thought it was funny. He gave a snort and nosed the wolfhound's coat.Don't worry about the monster. She is harmless. She's called Missy and she is about, oh, 11 months? she said, petting the wolfhound's head. Her head was level with Sam's thigh and Sam was no short cookie.

He nodded and smiled at the stallions show-off attitude, but he didn’t seem headstrong at all, just eager to impress anyone who might be watching.''I'd be impressed if I saw him at a show, he’s a nice looking horse. Has he had any injuries in the past, or any vices I should know about?'' Kai asked, he'd like to know a bit of background information on him first, but so far he seemed to be a good choice. He raised his brows as Sam told him how old the wolfhound was, and chuckled slightly, well they were pretty much the largest breed of dog you could come across he reminded himself.

Harriet leaned on the stall door listening to the woman and deciding on whom to take with her. She decided to wait untill either the lady noticed her, or they were done. But she wanted to get in next.

Sam scanned through her memory, frowning slightly. When he was born, he had a abnormal lump on the side of his neck. I surgicly removed it and scanned it for anything cancerous. It turned out to be a tumor but since we got it out quick enough, there was no time for it to become cancerous and so far, none of his foals or himself have had any problems, she said, running her hand along the stud's side. But you still might want to get him checked every two years, just to be sure that nothing pops up. Oreo gave a snort, tossing his mane and pawing gently at the dirt, eager to be ridden. Before you ride him in any show, make sure to give him a good work out. His pappy was the same way and threw someone off when they just tossed him in a show. Usually a good gallop around the arena keeps him in order.

Kai nodded as she spoke, taking in the information. It was what he needed to know, it sounded like it would be a task to keep track of his old problem, bit this didn’t deter Kai. ''Ah yes, one of the mares at my stable is like that, needs a bit of warming up first. To get the 'bounce' out of her..'' that was true, although the mare was used for Jumping, you could quite easily get bucked off if you took her straight into the arena.''Well, Id like to buy him I think-'' Kai said, his eyes looking at the stud, he had a nice structure and, from what he had been told, was quite the show horse.
