Kai walked through the pens, he had reserved some of them for the horses he was selling today. Most of them were ones he had been re-training for quite some time and now he needed them to go to new homes. He lead a chestnut mare to another pen, being followed by a prancing foal. All of them were well fed and healthy looking though, unlike some of the horses that came to be sold here. Kai had hired a few grooms for today, and they were busy cleaning the horses down and brushing their manes and tails. He checked over the information he had pinned up for each of the horses here, making sure it was all correct before seating himself in a chair by one of the corrals, an Australian Kelpie sitting beside him whined softly as his owner petted his head.

Facts: Holly is a nice mare who is only doing small jumps at the moment, but is ready to start jumping higher. She is well mannered and is a joy to ride, but shouldn’t be ridden by inexperienced riders as she tends to bolt at loud noises and around dogs. She comes to a whistle when in the pasture and is easy to catch, box and with the farrier. Must be bought with her filly.

Facts: Arianna is a youngster in need of a lot of training. Arianna is very green and has only just started work under saddle. Facts: Falcon had a successful career as a national show jumper at grand prix level whilst he was still a youngster. But recently retired due to some joint problems, he is on a special diet to help with this and is in need of brining back to top fitness. He is wonderful on busy roads and doesn’t spook easily, and is a joy to handle. His ground manners are nice as well, and his isn’t at all pushy. Although his legs are improving, it is not advised that he starts jumping anything to large in case something crops up again.

Facts: Legend is a young stallion who is a top quality show jumper and eventer, he has competed against some of the best and won, currently jumping 4'2 and higher at his stables. Even though he can be a bit hot headed sometimes he is a joy to ride and has wonderful smooth flowing paces. Legend throws nice moving foals aswell, and his offspring always have a little something of his spunky attitude.

Facts: Smudge is an ex-school horse who is used to giving children pony rides and such. But when new owners bought him he was used as a show horse, and has a great bold jump for a little pony. Smudge is quiet most of the time, but if he is left in his stable to long without exercise he gets over-excited when he is ridden again. Smudge would suit someone who is willing to bring out this little guys true potential.

Facts: Dash is a good horse but he has a few issues with riding, and he bucks quite a lot. He would suit an experienced rider who will bring him on correctly. He has been trained badly, and has learnt he can get away with being naughty and will need re-training from the basics. Either way, he is a joy to be around and has a real cheeky personality.

Facts: Lara is excitable and not an easy ride, but can excel in the right hands. She had done a bit of Endurance riding and proved to be a natural, but she needs work on her jumping skills as she prefers to refuse due to learning she can get away with it when she was used at a riding school. Lara is nice to ride, but she can sometimes nip if she gets annoyed.

Facts: Ashes is a sweet mare who needs a good home after being abandoned in a field with no water of grass. When she was found she was in a very bad condition with a two month old foal that sadly died a week later. She is now at full health but in need of some more training as she is still a little green and bolts.(IN FOAL TO PINE BROOKS DANCE WITH THE DEVIL)

Facts: Cosmo is a very highly strung stallion and needs quite a sever bit to keep him in check when riding. He has been re-trained but still likes to mess around and throw his riders. Cosmo has won several times when competing in Endurance riding, as he has the stamina to keep him going.

Abby drove up to the Selling area, once again her eyes moving gently over all the horses, as they had for the past few weeks when she dropped by. Shhe noticed Kai, a man she had never met but knew off, their stables were both close by. She decided to cheack out the stock he was selling.
Her eyes gazed over each, and her smile widened a little and her blue hued gaze passed over dark Egyptian Arabian, as well as two of the heavily pregnant mares. She approched the man.
"Hi, I'm Abby. I'm interested in a few of these horses." |

Kai noticed a few people had started taking a look at the horses, quite a crowd had
gathered around Falcons pen, where the stallion was standing proudly and enjoying the
sudden fame. Most of them wondered how Kai had come by the old boy, after his career
as a top show jumper, Falcon had apparently vanished. Kai noticed a young woman
browsing through the horses, taking interest in the mares he noticed. Kai flipped through
the pages of the papers in his book, and then looked up through his deep blue eyes when
the girl spoke.''Hey, I'm Kai Winters. What horses would you like to take a look
at?'' he asked in a friendly manner, standing and holding out his hand for her to shake
it.

Sasha Simbel strode around the pens, looking for Kai. She'd heard that he was having a huge sale and was definitely interested in some of his stock. After about a half hour of walking through all the horses he had to offer, Sasha weaved her way between people and found Kai. She gave him a wave and waited while he talked to another girl.

Kai smile over Abby’s shoulder at Sasha who had just waved to him, happy to see someone he knew might be interested in some of the stock he had for sale. Then the young man turned his attention back to Abby.''Well, Arianna is a three year old Egyptian Arabian. She is gonna need a lot of training. She’s got some quite nice lines, and I've got papers for her as well. I've been getting her used to a bit of work under saddle, but she still to play up a lot''. Kai concluded what he was saying about Arianna. The thought what to say about the next horse.Black Ashes, she’s a thoroughbred cross. Her old owner abandoned her, so when she came to my stable she was in a pretty bad shape. She’s fairly calm now but will need a bit more training, I doubt she’s been ridden for around a year'' Kai said, he hadn’t had much info on that mare in particular.''Dash, he’s also a thoroughbred cross. He’s got some nice paces, but he bucks when he doesn’t want to do something. His last owners didn’t really teach him to listen to the rider, so he needs re-training''. He finished speaking and then ran his hand through his dark brown hair, hoping he'd given enough information.

Stepping out of her red Mini Cooper. She looked around, she had called up the owner of Pine Brook, Kai Winters, earlier in the week. Zoey looked round for Kai, and then spotted him talking to another girl. She waited, and whilst she was began browsing through the horses in the corrals. She stroked a heavily pregnant paint mare on the neck, and looked back to Kai. He had finished talking so she walked over.''Hey, I'm Zoey Harris. The girl who rang you up about Lara?'' she said, smiling politely.

Abby listened nodding her smile widened as he spoke. They sounded perfect. She opened her mouth to speak when a older girl moved in, talking. Well, interupting. Abby stared at her, her expression had dropped the smile and looked undescribable. Not angy, or anything, but a tad annoyed. She turned to Kai and spoke before he did.
Listen, Kai, I'll take them all. I go get the money and bring my car closer and start haltering the horses, you deal with her.
She smiled, trying to mae it easier for him

Kai nodded to the other girl, remembering he had previously talked to her about purchasing the mare. Then he heard Abby talking so looked back over at her.''Sure. That'll be about...$18,500 in all''. He turned his head towards Zoey.''Yeah, Lara is right here'' he said, trying to move through the buyers quickly. Kai ran a hand through his slightly wavy brown hair and strode into a corral. A chestnut Arabian mare looked at him with a tilted head, he started towards her and she snorted, turned tail and cantered away around the pen. He followed the Arabian, jogging after her in the round pen. He lunge for her halter, missed and landed face first in the dusty base of the pen. He got up, brushing himself down and then grabbed the mares halter when she chanced a bit too close to him. He walked out of the pen with her, and handed a lead rein to Zoey.''Here you go, she’s gonna cost you $7,000'' he finished (already arranged this sale with bekk, so she gave me permission to play her charrie a little) and took the money from Zoey. He watched as she took Lara away and loaded her into a trailer. Then looked around for Abby, he couldn’t see her coming back yet so he made his way to Sasha to at least know what horses she wanted to buy.''Hey Sasha, you interested in any of this lot?''

Sasha looked up, seeing that she was finally being talked to.Umm, yeah. she looked back at the pens, seeing which horses were left.I'll take the rest of them except Legend. I'd love to buy him, but this lot is already going to be $48,050. Another moment's thought was put into it, her brain moving rather slow this morning.I think that's all.

Kai thought for a moment, good, someone would be willing to take all these horses off his hands. Then a smile crept onto his face,''Tell you what, I'll cut the price to $30,000 for the lot. And if you don’t mind taking one more, I'll give you Legend for free'' he said. At the moment he had plenty of room at the stables,but, he didn’t want to put too much pressure on his employees to be exercising too many horses. Kai looked at Sasha intently, waiting to see if she would accept the offer.

Sasha thought his offer over for a moment.That would be excellent. I'm always willing to take horses. His grin contagious, Sasha smiled as well. It might mean more work, but she definitely had enough people. It seemed like every week somebody was coming by, asking for a job. She came out of her trance and met Kai's eyes.So tell me about this other horse you want me to take.

Happy to see she was satisfied with the offer, his mind wandered back to what he had written up on the stallion, Legend.Well, Legends pretty young and has some nice blood lines in him. He’s got a bit of an attitude problem, but he’s been competing for about two years and has enough 1st ribbons to make him worth it'' Kai said, true, he had actually wanted to keep Legend and bring him on himself, but Kai didn’t have enough time for another horse.

Sasha reached into her back pocket and pulled out her checkbook.He sounds awesome. Hopefully we'll be able to straighten out some of the kinks in the others. She wrote out the check quickly and signed her name at the bottom.There you are, she said, handing it to him.Thankfully I thought to bring the big trailer. Want to help me load them up?
