Come, follow me. We will party, from sea to sea, hummed Luke as he retacked Lucky. Lucky turned his head to gaze at him with mournful eyes, his longs ears twitching at flies. He was a good boy, his draftness giving him an advantage in his rider's riding style. When Luke got the bridle and held it out to Luck, the mule opened his mouth and gripped it gently in his teeth. Luck fixed it onto his head and hugged the mule lovingly and mounted. They moved into a trot and just followed a well worn path near the ring fence, moving into a familiar rythm. Nac woke up from his name in the sun and bounded after them, yapping softly as he bounced around the mule's legs.

Being mainly focused on the chestnut gelding, Rae gave little attention to the other rider in the ring until she was getting ready to open the gate. Her emerald eyes watched the pair as they travleled around the ring. The gelding, wondering what was the hold-up, nudged the young girls shoulder softly. Rae stroked his cheek easily, still watching the rider in the ring. Flicking back his ears, the gelding grew impatient quickly.
Looking to the left side of the center of the arena, Rae was pleased to see that the modest jump she had set up yesterday was still there. Her rosy lips curved in a smile. She had been thinking of setting it up a bit further. She knew Mosk could jump way higher, but she didn't want to push him too far. Well, it wouldn't hurt to take him over a few higher jumps to challenge him.
Rae pulled the helmet from under her arm and set it on her head lightly. Her long blonde hair was pulled into a ponytail. She left the straps unhooked for now. Glancing down at her boots, she followed the tall black riding boots to where they ended, right below her knees. Then she followed the dove grey breeches up to her pale pink shirt. A soft sigh escaped her as she looked eagerly over to the equine. She couldn't wait to ride.

Luke stroked the mule's soft neck when he suddenly planted his feet and gave a bellowing,HHEEEE HHHAAAWWW! Luck bellowed and bellowed while Luke crooned in his ear, hopping off quickly. He stroked the upset john's nose and looked for the problem. He soon found it. A fairly large rock was wedged into Luck's hoove and waws digging in every time he stepped down on it. Nac plopped onto the ground and just panted, watching him and then turning his head to watch the other rider.
Luke paid the rider no attention but instead got the pocket knife out of his pocket. With a flip the hoove pick came out and he used it to carefully edge the stone out. All the while, Luck had quieted down and watched him, giving a unhappy haw when he hit a tender spot.Aye, buddy. You won't be running anytime soon, Luke said, wishing poor Luck didn't have to go through this.

Watching the pair still, Rae was shocked as the donkey halted and brayed. Her eyes widened, and the rider dismounted. Obviously something was wrong. She moved forward to open the gate, and lead Mosk to the rail where she quickly dropped the reins over a rail. She knew he wouldn't go anywhere. Turning back to the donkey and rider, she edged closer, hoping he was okay. She stopped about eight feet away, trying to watch as the man pulled the rock from his hoof.
"Is he going to be okay?"
Rae questioned quietly, hoping he wasn't hurt too bad. Rae was the type of person that cared about any animal, whether it is hers, someone else's, or a stray. She heard Mosk snort in the background, but still focused on the man and his mule. Her soft emerald eyes shifted from the hoof to the man, waiting for his reply.
