Lyricals were smooth and soft, who would have thought that I had a beautiful singing voice. Too bad I couldn't hear it. I had brought Affair out to pasture and instead of letting her go I had climbed onto her back. My head rested on her hindquarters and my feet dangled by her withers, my eyes were closed, my mind lost in thought. My hands rested on my stomache, blonde locks were pulled up in my traditional sloppy bun. The wind blew my bangs across my face, I mindlessly swept them to the side with my hand. A small smile curved my lips, everything seemed perfect. I had Aidan, a friend I knew I could turn to and one that would never turn his back on me. And Sam, she had helped me solve my fear of jumping and welcomed me with open arms. Affair, she was just amazing, she taught me new things every time I got in the saddle. And of course there was Josh and Jay, Josh had even told Mark that I was great with horses. Jay made everyone happier when he was around. Jake was just as kind and open-hearted as the rest of them, I hadn't really talked to him much like I did Sam.

A young woman rode in on an appy stallion, the stallion snorting and tossing hsi head. He reared slightly and the rider kicked him into full gallop. Behind her, a blue merle collie ran, his legs eating away ground. Alyssa reined the stallion in and she looked around, her brown hair fluttering everywhere. She was looking for something but didn't see it. With a sigh, she whistled for Charlie, the collie, and he ran over to her, sitting perfectly after the stallion's heaving sides.

I opened my eyes when I felt Affair lift her head, obviously something had caught her attention. I slowly sat up, seeing the girl, the horse, and the dog. A small smile curved my lips, watching as they raced across the pasture. I turned around and leaned my back against the mares neck, she didn't mind.
