Taking a deep breath before turning onto the driveway, my mind raced with the scenerios that could happen while I was here. But I shook my head slightly, my blonde locks cascading around my slender face. The truck slowly creeped down the road, the familiar barn my main focus. I parked the truck and sat for a moment, trying to plan ahead with what I was going to say. Pulling the keys from the ignition, I climbed out slowly, as if reluctant on this visit. The gravel crunched under my boots, my emerald eyes a deep shade to show my deep thinking. A few of the horses greeted me with nickers and snorts. I wondered if Public Affair was still here. As I looked down the hall, I began to think Sam had sold her. But there was a possibility that she was in the other barn.
My gaze shifted as I looked around for Sam. Surely she had to be here.

Jake and Chris strode into the barn, arguing, like good siblings should do.She was in there at two thirty! Chris declared as they stepped into the darkness of the barn. She isn't there now! Jake retorted,Affair? Puuubb-liiiicccc Affairrr? He called. A snort came from down the hall.See? Chris said triumphantly.Well...erm.....just excerise her C. Jake said with sigh.Aye Aye captian, you know, it's a good thing Joey's down here to look after Crickle Wood now. She said with a chuckle, she took the Appaloosa from the stall and cooed at her quietly.
She took the mare into the cross ties and groomed her and saddled her, she walked out into the bright sunlight, noticing Raelynn, she was back! She mounted up onto Affair and clucked to her to begin her quick walk.

Looking ahead I seen to figures ingadged in a playfully quarrel. My smile grew slightly as I listened in. Too nervous to step forward and ask for Sam, I stood back and watched as the girl brought out an appy mare. My jaw nearly dropped. Surely it wasn't....It was! It was Public Affair! I wanted to rush forward and throw my arm around the mare's neck, but I controlled myself and remained where I was. My emerald eyes watched as the guy left, wondering if he had arrived after my departure. The girl... I tried to pull back memories, but I couldn't.

Jake looked for his wife and daughter as he made his way back to the house. Where had Sam gotten to? Chris walked Public Affair into the pasture and began to warm her up.
--Finish later.

Sam stood in the pasture, watching Alex ride her horse about. The girl was growing up fast, alread 7 years old. With a clap of her hands, Sam got her attention and signlaed for a canter. Sam didn't want to distract the horse from concentrating on its surroundings and its rider so she taught Alex sign langue. The girl nodded to her mom and moved the horse into a canter, leaning forward to touch its neck.

With a soft sigh she watched as the horse and rider departed, leaving her behind. Deciding it would be best to come back later she made her way out of the familiar stable. By coincidense perhaps, she looks to pasture where she would spend time with Public Affair. Seeing a figure, she immediately knew who it was. She stopped in her tracks, and her speech she had planned days before was forgotten.
Taking a deep breath, she attempted to prepare herself to face Sam. Would anger take over Sam's mind? No, Sam wasn't like that. Rae took a few steps forward, until she stood inches away from the paddock rail. A soft smile curved her rosy lips.
"Sam?"
She vocalized softly, hoping it had been loud enough to hear, but not too loud as too spook the horse.

As the mare was warmed up, Chris sighed slightly, curls tamed and pulled into a tight ponytail as she asked the horse for a trot. As the mare strode out, she rocked along with the beat before picking up a lively post. She stroked the splattered neck and kept her legs locked for a moment before returning to the posting.
Jake walked over to Sam, watching his daughter ride for a moment before wrapping his arms around her waist and kissing the top of her head. She's a wonderful rider, just like her momma. He said with a slight smile.

Sam grinned up at Jake, her eyes dancing. She must take after her grandda, she teased and stopped, hearing her name.Yes? she called, turning around. Her eyes halted on a figure near the fence and she jerked back.Rae?

Before Sam noticed me, I glanced back to the trailer hitched to the truck. I don't know why I had brought the two equines with me, but it gave me a boost of pride just thinking about them. Looking back to the pair in the arena, I watched as Sam looked over my way. A soft smile curved my rosy lips as I recognized her shocked expression. I ducked my head for a moment and looked back up to the familair woman.
"Long time no see..."
I voiced softly, and regretably. It was a mistake to leave, but with tragedy came sudden, thoughtless decisions. At the time of my departure, a lot had been shoved in my face at once. It took me about a year to straighten things out, and so now here I was.
