Sam looked at Aidan with a smile.You can go around the barrel at a lope again until Samurai gets here, she said. Back at the barn, Josh was haivng a hell of a time getting Samurai to listen to him. SHe wanted to GO.

He nodded happily and didn't notice the two at the end of the ring. Otherwise, he would have tensed up and moved uneasily. That was just how he was though. He let her go, just a little faster then before though, and repeated the pattern with the barrels, only this time, he didn't knock any. He needed work on leaning though, and he knew that would come with time. He let her speed towards the finish line, slowing her when they got there. |

Sam watched him, smiling softly.Inbetween the barrels you should have Alexial give some small burts of speed and when you go for the finish line, let her go, she said. Looking back, she smiled when Josh led Samurai in, the mare's strong body shivering slightly.Go one more time and then I will show you how I do it,

He nodded and patted Alexial's neck, then lined her up once more. He pushed her forward, giving her that extra burst of speed,and slowing her slightly when they were turning. He leaned a bit more, taken by the way she moved. He squeezed her forward once more, then slowed, and then squeezed. When they went around the last barrel, he leaned forward and let her go full out, galloping across the finish line. He sat back and slowed her, walking her back and forth to let her catch her breath, praising her happily. |

Sam smiled, watching Aidan as she mounted her mare. Once he was done, Sam smiled again.Good job. You were faster than your other runs, she said, lining her mare up.Watch an expert, she said, kicking her mare softly. She took off, going around the barrel. They turned so sharp, Sam's boot touched the ground. They sped up some more, slowing as they turned around the barrel. After the last barrel, Samurai shot across the finish line, snorting when she slowed. Her sdes were lightly flecked with sweat.

Aidan watched...slightly wide eyed as Sam went around the barrels. As her boot almost touched the ground, he flinched slightly, not wanting her to get hurt. Would he be able to do it like that some day? He was practically jumping with excitement when she came back.That was awesome Sam! When do I get to do it like that? His eyes were filled with new life and excitement, and one could tell he had a lot of promise because he was determined to do better each time he tried. He waited for her reply. One day..he would show her how he jumped...he wanted to...but it was up to her. He waited slightly impatiently. |

Sam smiled, her eyes dancing. Quickly, she dismounted Samurai, lightly holding the mare's reins.But of course. You have a humble teacher, she spread her arms and bowed slightly.And I will push you to your limits, she said with a smile.Maybe you will be able to do small trick riding. Josh could teach you. Josh grinned slightly He will have to wait after Jay, he said with a grin.

Josh smiled sidely.Sure. Booger could use somebody to see how he does, he said. A lotta people watche dhim but Booger needed some practice with people yelling and hollaring.

He looked at him once more, his eyes bright. He was sure Jay would help too...and he dind't want his new friend to miss out an anything either.Can me and Jay help then? He was raring to go, and do so many things at once, it was like he was going to combust. But he kept walking Alexial, still aware of her. |

Josh grinned slightly.Maybe tomorrow. Right nwo you have to take care of your hayburner and I have to take care of soem horses, he said, waving bye as he walked out. Sam looked at Aidan and grinned.Shall we clean these guys up? she asked.
