Craig pulled up in his black dodge and parked it carefully on the curb outside a town house, with a sign hammered into the grass out front saying 'SOLD'. The young man got out of his dodge and was followed by an overexcited Doberman, he locked it behind him as he made his way to the houses front door, a suitcase with wheels lugging behind him. He opened it and stepped in, the dog coming in as well. ''Well, here we are Hades'' he said and breathed in the smell of the new house, the furniture he had sent over from his old apartment was here. And the new stuff he had ordered had been put in place as well. He closed the house door and took of his scuffed vans and walked up the stairs with the case and into the room he had decided was his.
Craig emerged half an hour later, having un packed and now he went downstairs again he took two dog bowls out of the second case by the door, and put them in the kitchen, one with dog food and the other with water. Hades came in, his large build squeezing past Craig to get at the food. Craig stroked the dogs neck and then went back to the case, beside it lay a large dog basket. He picked it up and carried it to the area by the back door that lead to the back garden and put it on the floor by the wall for Hades to sleep on. And a few minutes later a chew toy was beside it. Craig stretched and glanced at his watch.''Quarter past one..'' he doubled back and then headed to the lounge, and sat on the sofa, switching on the TV. The Doberman trailed in and jumped up on the couch next to the guy, front paws dangling off the cushion. The dog yawned and then placed its head down and closed its eyes, and fell asleep almost immediately. Craig didn’t blame him, that trip had to be the longest Hades had ever been on. He watched the pictures on the screen for another hour, outside cars traveled occasionally down the street, but not too often.
The young man got bored of TV after a while, and stood. Glancing out the window, he decided he could take Hades down to the park to have a bit of exercise. ''C'mon Hades, get up'' Craig prodded the dog who shifted slightly and then Craig lifted the large creature up partly, and with a small growl the Doberman finally jumped off the couch. Craig attached a lead to the dogs collar and the switched off the TV and walked out, and locked the door behind him, the walked off in the direction of the Park.
