She had been throughout all of the other stalls and paddocks, looking at the horses. But none were really racers, and none caught her eye. She was about to give up when she reached the fancier areas of the sale. She didn't think she'd ever be able to afford any of it, but then she remembered that her father was helping her out to get started. She sighed slightly at that thought and then shook her head, going in anyway. Better to spend the money and get good racehorses. She had been in the business all of her life, so she knew what she was doing. She wasn't one of those who thtought she was better then anyone, and she simply wasn't a rich person...But she had the funds to support herself. Going further in, she saw the trailer with the racehorses. Interested, she stepped forward and looked over at their owner, most likely. She looked into the first stall and saw the filly, then went over to the woman. She stood quietly for a moment and then spoke softly.Hi...My name's Melanie Davidson. I'd be intereted in maybe looking at some of your horses, and perhaps buying them if everything works out. She introduced herself and then explained, waiting for her reply.

((There aren't any fillies )) The lady looked eth girl up adn down, an eyebrow raised. Moving away from the mare, she looked in disgust at her shirt and called for a groom. A young girl ran over and brush the hair off as the lady observed her still. As she looked at her, she spoke in a bored voice."So. YOu want to buy some of my racers. I warn you. These sweet hearts aren't all fuss and feathers. They HAVE to be exercised daily and be kept in check in their training. One slip can ruin them," she said in a snotty voice. Angel began to snort and prance, tossing her head. The lady left her and a groom went into teh stall, calming the mare. Demo snorted, tossing his own head. Eyeing the mares, he whinnied, pawwing the ground.

((Sorry...)) One of Melanie's eyebrows raised as the woman stood up and called a groom over to wipe off her shirt. She relaxed her features once more, standing as the girl looked her over. She felt like a horse on parade. Staring right back at her, she adjusted her posutre and crossed her arms, hearing her words. So this rich girl didn't think she knew how to handle racehorses? Well...she could think what she wanted.I've been around thoroughbreds all my life...I know how to handle them and train them. She said, sizing the other girl up as well. Melanie was also a jockey, due to her light weight and her small frame. She was short basically, and she had to look up at Alyssa to speak with her. As the horses began moving slightly, she adverted her gaze, but then looked back at the owner.

The WOMAN sniffed again, still looking the girl up and down. In the trailer, another horse screamed, pounding on the sides. She looked over adn then looked back at the girl, her eyes narrowed."Well don't touch anything. I will be RIGHT back," she said with a snarl at the end. Striding past her, she shoved a stable ahdn out of the way, snarling at him something about the horse insiede was worth more then his weight in gold. Getting everyone out and away from the trailer, she went in and led a angry stallion out, snorting and pawwing the ground. The stallion's bay pelt seemed to shimmer in the sun, tight, lean muscles bunching and relasing under it. His powerful legs finally were able to tear the air, ripping his head away form the woman. But she merely waited until he was done with his anger and led him around. Another girl groom went over by Melanie, her hands clasped before her."Miss, may I help you with anything about these arcies? Mad'am Peachtree is busy with her top boy so I am to help you," she said, eyes lowered. The woman, Mad'am Peachtree, snapped at some of the grooms to bring the other stallion out. The one she had was the father to the two siblings and the next was the father to the Chestnut girl. Bay Stallion Cestnut Stallion

Melanie did not like how she was being treated by this woman. But she wouldn't say anything about it, since she was interested in the horses. As she spoke to her once more, she nodded softly, and then stood there, feeling like a dog. As she led the stallion out, Melanie was impressed. His build held no imperfections and he looked as if he could run and win all of the time. She kept her comments to herself and looked up as the groom came over. She shook her head softly at her offer, giving her a smile.No...I don't think so. Unless you're going to show me the horses for sale..She said, a little comfused by the whole ordeal.

The young girl smiled slightly."Oh I am sorry about her attitude. She has to sell these babies because her stable is getting too full," she said softly."And these hon's are for sale. Those are their fathers." The chestnut stallion reared up, whirling around. The groom jumped back and yanked his head down, covering hsi eyes.

She smiled softly at the groom, then looked at the chestnut stallion. He was a handful..but most were. So it was nothing that surprised her. She nodded gently. They're magnificent. She was obviously interested now, and she wanted to see more of the horses for sale. She had seen the studs, and they were impressive, so the offspring had to be great as well. She waited patiently.

The groom looked at her again "Are you SURE there isn't anything I can help you with miss? Would you like to see the group in here?" she asked hopefully. She was bored and wanted to bring out one or two to show. Maybe if Mad'am Peachtree saw her handling them she could go up in the ranks, maybe to trainer or jockey. The two stallions were each led to a stall, pasting on their doors NOT FOR SALE SHOW ONLY so no one would try to buy them. They were up for stud though, as it said farther down. The grooms went to another fancy trailer with a plainer truck, getting ready to led this batch out. The truck stopped adn they went in, first leading out a nice stallion. Name: Track Trouble Stable Name: TNT Breed: Thoroughbred Gender: Stallion Age: 5 Height: 16.3 hh Color: Liver Bay Other Color: Black Facts: TNT is a good boy in the stable and stall but in a race, watch out! He is true to his name and tears through it like cloth. His father one 18 out of 23 races, TNT himself only winning 4 out of 7 but thats good for a beginning. Price:$ 25,000 His first national win He was only the first of three others.

Looking back to the groom, she hesitated, but then nodded.Umm..sure. That would be great if I could see them. She said with a small smile. The groom looked as if she really wanted to do something, so she would go with it. She wanted to see the racers anyway. Taking a depp breath, she stood off to the side, waiting patiently.

The groom smiled happily and went to get Demo."This, is Demo. His father was the first fussy boy," she said happily. Demo snorted, stompping a back foot. Lifting his head, he eyed the other stallion outside, raising a hoof threateningly. But the groom caught it just in time and poked at his foot with her foot, warning him.

Melanie looked over as the first horse was led out. He was beautiful, and she could see similarities between this horse and the other stallion, and she nodded in interest. She circled around him, not getting close enough so that he could hurt her, but close enough to scrutinize. his legs were long, and he looked as if he could run fast, so she was interested. She looked up to the groom. What's his history...

The groom gently stroked his nose."His father is a big time winner and his mother is a good racer too but he isn't very good. But his build is perfect and he has sped in hsi blood," she said quickly."Shada is his half sister, same father, different mother. He has a full sister but she is still young and at teh stable." Demo snorted adn watched the girl, making sure she didn't get to close to his rear. No body touched his butt, well, unless you were nice to him or praising him, then you could touch it all you wanted.

She nodded softly and then looked him over again. With training...he could probably be a bit better. SHe nodded once more, and then looked at the groom.I like him though...is there a chance I could by him, and maybe some of the others after I see them? SHe said with interest, wanting to know. SHe wanted to build up her stable, waiting for her response.

The groom nodded and led him back into hsi stall, leading out Shada. The gentle mare lipped at the groom's shirt, kindness in her eyes. With a smile, teh groom patted her nose."And this is Shada, Demo's older half sister. She is my personal favorite because she doesn't step on your toes," she said softly.
