Emilie was looking for a horse of her own, maybe more than just one, at the moment she was always riding Faith and Allo at Pine Brook. Kai had said that maybe she should think about getting herself a horse, then she would be able to progress more on a horse she worked well with. She was wearing a pair of cropped faded denim jeans, and a simple white strappy top, on her feet she wore some grey slip-ons with a simple cherry design on the side of each. She stopped. Casting her green eyes back towards the guy who had spoken. Emilie back tracked, this was what she was looking for, bracing herself against the people walking the opposite direction she came to stand in front of him, out of the stream of people. ''Excuse me, but did you say you are selling some animals?'' she asked, pushing her wavy black hair back from her face, looking at him with her emerald eyes. She prayed this might be her chance to come by some horses, and she clasped her hands together tightly behind her back, waiting eagerly for a reply.

He smiled at her, searching her face. 'Yes, I am, I have a Danish Warmblood and a Connemara pony for sale.' He replied, looking at the other passerbys. Mark hoped this girl would buy one of the horses, he hoped they would go to a good home. He looked at Snow Flake, who he was standing by. The pony had always been a kiss-up, maybe he would do the same to a boy or girl who wanted a pony. Penny on the other hand would be quiet and sweet. He really did wish that her didn't have to sell them, Mark looked at them, they had to go. He'd get another.

She nodded and looked at the grey pony that stood beside the boy, her green eyes rested on the bay mare that was also there. Both these horses looked nice, and she gave a sigh, and thought.''What are they like, do they have any problems? Bucking, kicking or anything?'' she asked, raising one of her brows in question as she spoke softly to the young man, keeping the same friendly smile on her face. Emilie wasn't always friendly to new people, but she was trying her best right now to make a good impression.

'Well, the pony is really full of energy and he bolts a lot.' Mark said and patted Snow Flake's neck. Snow Flake seemed to be on good behavior for the day, and it was good. The pony had been a hand full from the beginning, but Penny had always been easy going since her birth. Mark looked at the girl, hoping she would choose to buy one, she seemed nice.

She nodded, and considered for a few moments.''Would I be able to buy them both together?'' She asked tentatively, also wondering what there price would be, she thought it would be better if both the horses were kept at the stables she worked at together, Pine Brook Stables.

'Sure, I was hoping they could go together, they're kind of like stable buddies.' He said, looking at the two. He went to get Penny and walked over to her. Taking the lead rope, he led her around and then tied her by Snow Flake. Now, the two could stay together and go to a stable. 'So, Penny is $1,200 and Snow Flake is $1, 300.' Mark said shooting the horses a last glance.

''That sounds great! I'll give you a check for them now..''Her eyes lit up with excitement, they were relatively low priced, just perfect. She pulled her check book out of the back pocket of her cropped jeans, and wrote out on the lines of one of the tear out pages. Once she had finished she handed the check to the boy. She noticed he looked at the horses, as though he thought he'd never see them again.''Oh, and if you ever want to drop by and see how they are doing. Just come by to Pine Brook Stables, its just been opened so you might not have heard of it yet..'' she said, slowly, her green eyes looking at the horses she was about to take back with her.

He smiled at her. 'Thanks, and maybe I will come by, I hope you have good luck with them.' He said, wondering what the horses would think of their new home. He took the check and untied the horses and gave her the lead ropes. 'Here.' He said, giving Penny a last pat.

She nodded and smiled,''Thanks as well'' Emilie said and lead both horses slowly away into the trailer she had waiting in the car park and loaded them both inside and closed the door. Then the girl got in the drivers seat and reversed out of her parking space, before turning and driving out onto the main road and back to the stables.

Mark watched her drive away, he smiled, his horses had a new home. He felt sad that they were gone, but happy they'd gone to someone good.
