Melanie pulled up in her truck, her eyes going occasionally over to the small heap of blankets that hid the baby ferret. She couldn't help but take Beanie home when she saw her. She parked the truck and turned it off, then gently took hold of the small baby ferret. Jennie was in the back of the truck, and she was excited to get out and romp around. She was a beautiful blue merle austrailian shepherd, and Melanie had adopted her as well, for a playmate with Charlie and to keep him company. Charlie was her golden retriever. She let her out and smiled down at her as she woofed gently, then immediately went to explore. Charlie barreled forward, and she laughed as they immediately hit i off, playing and licking eachother. She was glad they liked eachother.
Taking Beanie and her things, she went into the house. The cage was set up thank goodness, and it was a special one. It was opened on top, and had a small bed in the corner for the baby, as well as a bowl for her milk if she ever decided to drink it on her own. There was a thick layer of soft bedding, and all sorts of toys and other things, as well as a big stuffed animal to keep her company at night. She laid her gently in the bed and smiled as she instantly curled up and continued sleeping. She would check on her in a little while. Right now..Charlie needed a bath, and she would give Jenny one as well. She whisteled as she came outside, and the golden retriever bounded up quickly, followed by Jenny. She smiled and brought them around back to the big kiddie pool that now held soap and warm water. Charlie instantly staretd running in the other direction, but she grabbed him and pulled him over. She got him in it, and started scrubbing, but he ended up getting half the water on her. Her hair was soaking wet, along with her clothes, by the time she was finished with the dog. Jenny went in quietly, sitting still and panting as she got her bath. Melanie praised her and glared meaninglfully at Charlie, who sat and watched. She finally let her go and watched as they ran off together. She emptied the pool and tried wringing out her shirt. Perfect...
