Boarding

[Wonder]

Mandy Hope drove into the stable yards, her eyes shining. This stable was like the one she used to live on when she was younger. She smiled and parked her car, then hopped out. Looking around at the stable yard, she gazed around in awe, this place already seemed wonderful. Mandy walked in the first stable and saw the horses, each one seemed perfect. She walked on, patting an occasional horse, until she reached an office. Knocking lightly, she waited for an answering voice.

Kai yawned, he'd been out late last night trying to catch Izzi from the pasture, and of course
the filly had thought otherwise. Stretching back in the revolving chair, he sat back normally
again, and began typing on the laptop, summing up the prices for food this month. Then he
heard a knock at the door, it surprised him, but he got up and walked over to the door
and opened it. In front of him stood a girl about nineteen years old, maybe more, maybe less.
''Oh, hey there'' he said, opening the door wider.''Can I help you with anything?''

[Wonder]

She heard someone open the door and turned her gaze upward.
'Hello, if I may, I would like to talk about boarding a horse here.' She said, and put a smile on her face.

Mandy looked inside the office, it was an overall neat room, she figured anything like that must mean a neat stable. She had heard of this stable and had wondered about her horse, Rebound, staying.

[BECKiEE :)]

''Ah, okay sure. Come in, come in..'' he said and stepped back from the door way and
sat back on the revolving chair,and gestured to the comfy looking black sofa on the opposite wall,
next to a book case and a tall leafy potted plant. He gave the girl time to be able to sit down if she
wished. Then Kai spoke again,''Are you just looking to board your horse here? If your looking
for work then we have plenty of jobs available, also it cuts down your boarding fee to $200 a
month, and if you need any accommodation there is a place that employees can stay in''
he went through what he needed to say steadily, so she would catch all of what he said.

[Wonder]

'Well, I was looking to just board, but I might consider a job here. Perhaps a part time job if possible.' She said, thinking about it.
Mandy sat down, then looked out a window to where she could see her truck and trailer.
'Anyway, I've brought my horse with me, I hope it's okay on such short notice.' She said, turning back to face him

[BECKiEE :)]

He nodded, and leant back in his chair.''No, no. Its alright, a few of the empty stables
are already made up incase we got any new horses'' he thought for a moment, then
spoke again.''Shall we get your horse settled in and then move onto fee's and other
business?'' he said, and rose from his chair. Kai walked across the wooden flooring of
his office and then stood beside the door, offering the girl to go first.''Oh, and my
name is Kai by the way, Kai winters''.

[Wonder]

'Thank you.' She said, smiling once more. Mandy stood up, and looked at him.
'I guess we should, he's been in there for a while. And I'm Mandy Hope.' She added, and walked through the door.

He nodded ''Pleased to meet you'' Kai added and followed her out into the yard
outside the barns where people parked there cars and vehicles.''You say 'he', is
your horse a stallion or gelding?'' he asked as they walked over to the horse trailer, it depended on how she replied to where her horse would be stabled.

[Wonder]

She nodded back.
'He's a stallion.' She said, reaching the trailer.
Mandy unlocked the back of the trailer, and went in. She patted Rebound's neck with one hand while she untied him.
'Look out.' She said, starting to back him out.
She backed him out, Rebound seeming to be have asleep. Realizing someone besides her was there, he arched his neck and tried to be a show off.

He thought for a moment, her horse would have to go next to Snow for now then, until
they had the planning permission for the Stallion Barn being built. But whilst he still
waited, the stallions had to be kept at least one stable away from the mares and other
stallions. Snow was a gelding, so it would be fin to put her horse next to him. As she
backed him out he admired how the stallion poised himself as he tried to show off.
''Right, this way'' Kai said and lead the way back to the barn and to a stable next to
a dappled grey pony munching hay from his hay net. He gave the geldings head a stroke
before opening the stall door for her horse to go in, there were new dust free wood
shavings down, and a hay net ready and waiting for an occupant.

Mandy followed him into the barn, and into the stall. She noticed he seemed to like it, he rolled around, sniffed everything, and seemed to be interested in all there was there. Smiling she looked at Kai.
'Thanks.' She said softly, giving Rebound's neck a last pat before turning away.'I guess we'd better get the paperwork done.' She said, turning towards the office.

Kai nodded and closed the door of the horses stable,
and then moved off black to his office. When he got there Kai resumed his earlier seat,
and leaned back.''So, shall we start with your horses name?'' he asked, and took his
laptop from his desk and placed it in front of him. He opened up a log of the stable, and
browse until he had an open document to be able to type the information the girl gave
him down.
