Patrick drove his truck and trailer to the house. He parked it. He glanced around looking for someone to talk to about boarding and maybe a job. He went to the trailer where his horse had its head out looking around." Good boy Danger" whispered Patrick. Dame de Pique didn't really like the trailer at all. But would get used to it. Patrick went and leaned on the truck door.

Emilie was first to spot the new arrival, she had been
on her way to tell Kai that she had brought Sara, the mare that was in foal at the moment,
into the foaling barn. She was excited at the prospect of the mare having twins, but
whenever she brought it up, Kai went gloomy. She saw the newcomer standing beside his
trailer and so she jogged up to the house and knocked on the back door. Kai came out
when she knocked and looked at her questioningly.''Oh right, I just put Sara in the
foaling barn..'' Kai nodded at this, and to his surprise the girl continued ''And there
is someone outside to see you''. Kai looked round and saw the trailer, how could he
have missed it? Pulling on his riding boots over his jeans he hopped out of the house, to
much giggling from Emilie and walked round the front to greet who ever it was. He
walked up, and nodded a greeting.''Hello, can I help you with anything?'' he asked,
and stopped Emilie standing just behind Kai, curiously watching as he began to
speak.

Patrick looked up." Um yes. i'm wondering if i could board my horse and possible get a job here" said Patrick. Dame de Pique looked around again and snorted.

Kai eyed the horse that was looking out of the trailer, a seemingly tall, black horse.
Most probably a thoroughbred judging by its heads shape and proportions.''Yes
that'd be fine, there is plenty of room available. Your welcome to get a job here, I take
it you've done quiet a bit of work with horses-'' Kai said, judging since the man
owned his own animal.''Would you like to get your horse settled in now?''

" Sure. I've done tons of work with horses. I even trained the one I have now" said Patrick. He looked at his trailer. Dame de Pique snorted again wanting out of the trailer.

Kai nodded as the man told him the information, and then gestured towards the stables
with a nod of his head.''Lets get your horse in the stables now.. then we can discuss
paperwork and accommodation, if that’s needed-'' Kai said.''You might want to
drive your trailer down to the yard, just park up then your horse wont have to walk so far.
I'll meet you down there-'' Kai said, and started off down the gravel path to the barns,
indicating before he left the track the way the man had come, and a fork in the road that
led to the stable.

Patrick got back in his truck. He drove it to the stables. He parked again. Then got out. He went to the trailer and put the ramp down. Dame de Pique looked out and stamped on hoof.

Kai came down the path followed still by Emilie, his stable was starting to have a bit of
interest taken in it. Well, when the work and renovation needed had been completed, the
local magazine had taken an interest. As he approached the trailer, he got a better look at
the horse, From the way it was acting he summed up his suspicions that the horse was a
stallion. Well, there was certainly space in the brand new Stallion Barn for him.''This
way'' Kai said and walked towards the barn down a separate path, here Emilie walked
off to attend to her horse. It looked new, and inside the barn there were already two
horses, Kai's own horse, and Rebound, who belonged to Mandy Hope. Kai stopped and
opened the stall door, and there was already a fresh bed of sawdust down and a stuffed
hay net. In the one corner of the stable, was a self refilling water trough.''Your horse
can go in here-'' he said and waited for the stallion to go in.''By the way, I'm Kai
Winters''.

" Nice to meet you. I'm Patrick Spellman" said Patrick. He unloaded Dame de Pique and put him into the stall. Dame de Pique snorted and sniffed around. Patrick remove the halter and lead line." Sorry about him he trys to act all high and mighty for his gender" said Patrick calmly. Dame de Pique snorted again.

He returned Patrick's introduction with a nod, then watched as the stud explored the new
stable. Then he listened to what else Patrick had to say.''Oh no worries, my stallion's
like that, luckily he has matured a bit more as he got older-'' Kai closed the stable
door and put down the kick bolt. He looked towards his own stallion in the first stall, his
nostrils wide as he surveyed the new horse.''Right then, you asked about a job earlier,
what kind of work are you looking for?''

" Well I'm more into training horses or just doing stable work" said Patrick calmly. He looked at his horse again. Dame de Pique snorted and turned around in the stall. Then went to the stall door.

That sounded promising, he could do with some help training any new horses.''Well at
the moment, we don’t have that many horses here, since this is a new stable.'' Kai
spoke smoothly, thinking of who could do with a bit of exercise.''But I'd like you to
just help with exercising some horses first'' he said, and the decided on the horses he
could work with.''We have two well trained mares, Sara and Belle. At the moment
Sara is in foal, so she wont be getting any exercise. But Belle needs a bit, and as soon as
Sara foals, I'd appreciate it if you could help me start to train the foal'' he said, hoping
that Patrick would agree to this.

Patrick nodded." I could do that" said Patrick easily. Dame de Pique calmed right down and went to the back of his stall. Patrick glanced around at the other horses and grinned. He would get to learn alot more now that he was here.

He watched the mans horse calm in his stable, and saw Rebound taking an interest next
door, and Caspian feeling left out in his stable was peering over the door. Seeing Patrick
grin, he felt the side of his mouth curl into a small smile and he spoke positively now when
he voiced his next thoughts.''Right, what about a place for yourself? Do you
need a place to stay, we offer accommodation for employees here''

" I have no where to stay right now. I could stay here to keep close watch on my horse because sometimes he gets into trouble easily by trying to bite or hurt people or horses. But he might be fine" said Patrick. Dame de Pique listened to Patrick knowing he was right. But thats when the horse was being trained. Dame de Pique didn't bite or hurt anymore.
