That's good, Sasha said, mentally breathing a sigh of relief. He'd taken care of a lot of worry that had built up inside her in these few minutes.We should be selling a few pretty soon that have been rehabilitated. And yes, we will be taking them to the selling area. She paused for a moment, thinking. It would be nice to still be able to see and ride the horses she was selling.Maybe I'll be super nice to you and let you know when I'm taking them down so you can get there first. Unless you'd like to stop by and look at them.

Kai grinned ''how about the super nice choice?'' he said, tilting his head to the side in a somewhat puppy-like manner. It'd be great to fill out some more of his barns, but when this next load of foals arrived it'd be absolute chaos. Kai took a second to glance at the clock on the wall, half past. There was still half an hour remaining.''Once the foals are born, you can come round and take a look at them if you like'' he said, Turing his head towards Sasha again, smiling slightly, it would be interesting to see what her studs had produced when the Pine Brook mares foaled.

Sasha couldn't help but smile as Kai looked at her with those big blue eyes.Alright, I suppose I'll be super nice, she said, her grin widening. After all, Kai was a nice guy and was sure to take care of the horses.Just tell me when you want to come by. Sasha waited while he talked, her mind once again coming upon her own small herd of foals that would soon be coming.Maybe you can come see baby city too. Once you see how many are coming you'll think I'm crazy.

''Anytime next week I suppose, I've got a bit of schooling to get done with one of the horses. But after that’s finished I'll pop in'' he said after Sasha had finished speaking. He hadn’t been to close to Kingwood in fact, but he had spotted it when he had been out recently. He glanced across at the office door as he heard something padding up the steps, Riley the Australian Kelpie, came into view, his tail wagging as he approached Kai. The dog was greeted with a good scratch, and then he looked across at the newcomer, somewhat wearily. He wasn’t to good with new people at the barn.

Sounds good. Just give me a ring before you come. I'm guessing you know my number? At least you should, seeing as you contacted me first. Sasha looked around at the sound of paws coming up the steps and saw Riley. As the dog glanced at her warily, she let her hand drop by her knee in an offering for the dog to check her out if he wished. She'd never been afraid of dogs, but that didn't mean she wanted to get nipped at.And who's this? she asked Kai, looking from the dog to Kai and back again.

''Ah, this is Riley. Sorry, he’s a little nervous of new people'' Kai apologized for the dogs unfriendly behavior. Riley was a 'rescued' dog though, he had been used in dog fights when he was younger, and his old owners had beaten him to build up his aggression. But over time with Kai, the dog lost his angry nature but was always weary of humans.''Go on, say hello'' he said to the dog who looked at him when he spoke. Kai pushed the dog forwards with his foot and Riley approached the girl, sniffing her hand. He stood still for a few moments and then, gently licked her palm, a satisfied smile on Kai's face.''Looks like you made a new friend''

Sasha chuckled softly, now rubbing the dog behind the ears.Well hello there, Riley. She said, a small grin curving her lips. The dog was paid full attention for another minute or so before Sasha looked back up to Kai.You think we should go check on the horses, then? She referred to her watch before meeting his gaze once more.It's been about an hour. Despite the fact that she really didn't want to go, it was true. Not only that, but she didn't want to overstay her welcome.

Riley enjoyed the fuss she made of him, and decided this human girl couldn’t be to bad. The dog settled himself at her feet, laying on his side and for once felt comfortable around someone he had only just met. Kai looked up from the dog and back to Sasha as she spoke.''Yeah, I suppose so'' he agreed after she finished talking. Kai took his coffee cup and left it in the sink in the far corner of his office, then he offered to take Sasha's as well, ready to put it along side with his. Emilie would probably find them later anyway and wash them for him.

Sasha handed Kai her coffee cup and stood up.I'll start checking them out, then, she said, starting down the stairs. Once she'd reached the stable floor, she checked on Izzi and Deal. The two nuzzled for a moment before Izzi went over to take a drink. In the next stall, Songbird and Sinbad were whisking their tails at flies and munching on some hay.

As soon as he'd put Sasha's cup away, he turned and left his office and followed Sasha down the stairs. He passed each of the stables on the opposite side to Sasha, that way they'd be able to check on the horses more efficiently. He came to Rocky’s and Deva's stall first, looking in he saw Deva standing sedately next to rock, a nice change from her usually nasty nature.
In the next stall was Gray Skies and Rose, the mare was grooming the studs shoulder and he was grooming hers. Rose's ears flicked backwards in Kai's direction and momentarily left her cleaning to wicker softly and walk over, accompanied by Gray Skies. He petted them both and then walked on.

Sasha then moved to the next stall, which held Imohtep and One White Lie. The mare was giving the stud a thorough cleaning as Imoh's eyelids shut halfway in contentment. Upon seeing Sasha, the stallion's eyes opened and his ears tipped back slightly, not wanting his special treatment to end so quickly.Don't worry boy, not just yet, she assured him and walked on.
This stall held B|oody Brew and Belle of the Ball, who were nipping at each other playfully. Both heads whipped around as Sasha came into view, and Brew stepped in front of the mare. The stud pawed at the bedding and lowered his head as if to charge, warning Sasha to back off.I'm not after your girlfriend, Brew, so quit it. Sasha shook her head, making a note to work on Brew more once he got back to Crystal. At least they'd calmed him enough that he didn't want to kick down every gate and stable door.
Everybody's all set on this side. Brew's just being a smidge protective right now, but he'll get over it.
