Gerard looked through the pens which held horses that had been abused. He sighed, trying not to think hard about what had caused scars on some of the horses. Eyes alighted on a jet black stallion and he walked over, leaning against the corral fence. He intently studied the black's movements and smiled.Hey there, boy.

Coal snorted and reared up slightly, taking off acorss the pasture he was in. Some Arabs looked up and watched him, going back to grazing. He tried to show off to a young mare but she trotted away, head held high. But Coal wasn't discouraged. He followed her for abit then went back to prnacing and rearing slightly. Mark sat in his office, staring at a book without seeing the words, just thinking.

Mark looked up and looked at his laptop, his fingers dancing across the keys. Mark didn't even need to look at the computer and he had the Arab's file up.Coal is 500, a show jumper that came from an abusive Arab stable, ranch thing, he said quietly, his fingers skipping acorss the keys.

Gerard nodded and grabbed his checkbook from his pocket, writing out the check and scribbling his signature at the bottom.Sounds good. And from what I can see, he'll be a bit challenging. Good thing I'm up for it. He smiled as he turned his attention back to Markl and handed him the check.He good to go?

Mark took the check and tucked it in a horse breed book.Yeah, he is always ready. Just keep him away from any mares in-heat or he will break down the fence or door to get to them. We had to send our mares that were inheat to foster homes so he wouldn't ruin the place, he said.Kinda desperate, I would think, since he is chasing the other mares now.

He laughed.Will do. But maybe if he's wanting a mare that bad, we'll find him one. I'm sure a stud like him would make a fine foal. Gerard glanced at the stallion quickly before turning his attention back to Mark.I guess I'll be taking him home now.

Mark nodded, getting up, and walked out to the tack shed, getting a black lead rope. He then walked to the fence, giving a sharp whistle. Coal charged over and stopped, letting Mark clip the lead rope on him and lead him out.Here ya go. Rip rarin to go, Mark said, patting Coal's neck.

Thanks. Gerard took the lead rope and lead the stallion to the trailer, keeping an eye on him to make sure he didn't try going back to chase after the mares. Once he was safely up the ramp and locked into the trailer, Gerard turned back to Mark.I guess I'll see ya later.
