She nodded, but her eyes filled with pain at the thought of all these animals being abandoned at the same place.It's sickening. She admitted and then turned towards April.Well..Charlie's a golden retriever, and he's good with everything. SHe offered and then wondere how much she owed her. If they were free or something like that, she would make a donation to the shelter. She would make one no matter what.... |

April smiled and totaled Melanie's animals up."That will be..$ 70 for both," she said."Just leave the money on the counter. I gotta help anotehr person," she said with a apolagizing smile before walking over to Alex."Hello can I help you?" she asked cheerfully.

Melanie nodded and held Beanie to the side for a moment. SHe slid the new navy collar over Jenny's head and made sure it was comfortable, and then clipped the leash on her. Just to be safe. She would get a nametag for her later. She thanked April one last time and then went to the counter. The dog and the ferret were $70, and she made the check out for $200. It was a nice donation, and she wanted to help the shelter in any way that she could. She knew it wasn't a lot of money, but it would help a little bit. She grabbed all of Beanie's things and then walked with Jenny out to the truck, Beanie tucked gently under her arm. She opened the door to the truck and let Jennt hop into the back, and then place Beanie in the seat next to her own. She closed the doors and then hopped in her own side, starting it and driving off. |
