Joe smiled back at Chelsea and then started to eat ravenously. When Lilith introduced Charlie, he looked up and nodded a greeting.l He hadn't met evryone at the stables yet. He had spoken to Zoey earlier n in the day, and she was keen to get a job at Pine Brook herself. He thought about their earlier conversation, over the phone of course, and like he had been a few days ago, she was un-employed. She shared her flat with two other girls. They paid most of the rent, and his cousin was sick of being in debt. When he heard Chelsea's question, he answered:Personally I haven't found it hard yet. But I haven't been here long, so... He smiled as he trailed off, leaving the sentance unfinished. He shrugged and bent down to eat again.

Lilith started eating as well, she listened to the others speaking, fiddling with her auburn tinged hair with her fee hand as she sat quietly. Charlie was almost finished, and busy polishing off the crust of the pizza. Then Emilie spoke up, what she said directed towards Chelsea's earlier question.''Oh, its not all bad'' she said, eating some more of her salad and then speaking again.''It really depends on what horses Kai thinks you should work with'' she said, and thought back to earlier when she had taken a look at the schedule list up on the board in the tack room.''Your working with Deva, Jenna and Faith. Jenna and Faith are both easy rides, but Deva hasn’t really been trained any manners'' she said, the evil animal had bucked her off several days ago, not a fun experience.

Chelsea, who ate rather slowly herself, was amazed at how quickly Charlie finished. However, since the other seemed justot be starting, similar to her, she didn't feel too out of her depth. She let out a small sigh of relief at Joe's answer, and pushed her hair out of her eyes. Then, as Lilith spoke, she glanced up, wanting to hear what the others had to say. Lilith seemed to know a lot about Pine Brook, and she'd been here a while, so Chelsea hoped her and the other girl - Emilie - would be able to help her out. As well as the boys, of course, but she had never been very good at keeping boys as just friends. At this thought, she half-smiled to herself, her eyes flicking from Joe to Charlie. She quickly had to remind herself that Lilith was still talking. Chelsea listened to the horses' names, trying to remember them for tomorrow. Deva sounded like a handful by Lily's tone, but Chelsea was relieved she didn't have all trouble-makers. She took a few more bites of her pizza in silence, before saying, to prevent the silence from becoming awkward,"So how old are all you guys anyway? You been away from your folks for a while?"

Munching through the last of his pizza, he looked up at Chelsea. He saw her glance quickly from him to Charlie and back to her food again. He was looking forward to looking around that afternoon, for he hadn't had enough time to put away his belongings. They were still sitting on the floor in his new room. His eyes shifted from one person to another along the table, as he put names to faces. He leaned back in his chair at the same time Chelsea spoke."Twenty-six. I left home about eight years ago. I was renting a flat in London and I've been staying with my cousin recently."

Charlie spoke up this time, now finished on his food and leaning back in his chair, balancing it on two of the legs, whilst holding the tables edge for support.''I'm twenty two..'' he said, and realizing that Joe had said something about where he had been before arriving, he continued again ''I've been staying in this dingy little hotel in town for ages'' he said with distaste. Emilie’s turn next, she was busy eating and allowed a few seconds to pass before she to spoke.''I'm seventeen. I only moved here a couple of weeks ago, but got round to coming here with Charlie'' she said, finishing her own food. Lilith listened to Emilie and Charlie, she had known what Charlie’s living situation in the hotel had been like. She remembered him having to squash a cocroach, when she had jumped on the table screaming when she saw it. Lilith wasn’t exactly a fan of 'creepy crawlies'.''I’m twenty one, I haven’t been here very long. I moved out of my apartment in California when Charlie told me I could get a job here'' she said, and finished her pizza. Noticing most of the others were done eating she took the remaining empty plates and placed them on the draining board, shed wash them later.

Chelsea was surprised by all their ages. Especially Lilith's. She had thought that the girl would be older than her; she seemed more mature and knowledgeable. As it was, she was one year younger. Chel had also expected Emilie to be older, but the girl was very pretty, despite her youth. She grinned at Charlie as he mentioned his age;"Snap,"she said, teasingly. Then, she turned to look at Joe. She was pretty surprised at his age; that would put him at aruond the same age as Kai, she guessed. However, it was nice to know that the workers were all around her age. 26 And 17 didn't seem to far away. Finishing all but the crust of her pizza, she set it down on her plate and leaned back in her chair to survey the others. She felt like she was interrogating them, but they seemed quite happy to answer all her questions.

{ooc - I haven't bothered to sign in tee hee =p]
He nodded and looked around to the speaker, each time he or she gave a brief summary of their background and their age. He thought it best to listen, as he didn't know about his workmates at all. Apart from Lilith who he talked to probably the most in the group. And then there was of course Kai. His best friend. A small rush of sympathy for Kai passed ovcer him. He thought about the owner all alone up in his housre, and here he was, with hopefully his friends, eating and chatting freely. Learning more about them as time progressed. He smiled slightly as Chelsea compared her own age to Charlie's. He brought his hands up to his face, and inter- wined his fingers, so they were linked level with his eyes. He sighed and carried on listening to the current conversation. When he thought it had just about sizzled out, he rubbed his eyes tiredly. How about we all play a game. His tone was slyly sarcastic and his smile matched it. He grinned as he looked around at the faces "Right, let's say[/] He paused as he thought of what he could include. The chosen person has to complete a dare chosen by the other people at the table. " He leaned back in his chair and waited for an answer. To see if at least one of them approved. Joe glanced around at their faces as they digested what he had said. He got up and fetched an empty bottle from next to the oven, returned to the table and placed it in the centre of the table. Symbolising that he was happy to play if the rest of the group were. After all, he may feel tired, but he wanted to have a fun before he thought about going to sleep. He sighed and stayed quiet until one of hi workmates decided to speak.

Charlie grinned across at Chelsea ''Finally! Someone the same age as me!'' he said. Emilie’s attention was directed towards Joe though, as he spoke up about a game. She nodded as he spoke, always up for a bit of fun. Anyway it would be a good way to make friends quicker.''Okay, I'm in'' she said, pulling her legs up onto her chair and hugging her knees. Charlie nodded,''This could be interesting, Yeah, i'm in as well'' he grinned as he spoke, now looking across to Lilith to see what she thought. ''Hmm... I don’t know..'' she knew all to much about dare games, shed played quite a few over her friends houses when she was younger. But when Lilith saw Charlie’s and Emilie’s expectant faces looking at her she sighed, and then brightened up a little. ''Okay, I'll play. What about you Chel?''

Chelsea was surprised. Joe, the oldest, seemed to acting like the youngest. Still, she was excited by the idea of playing dares; it took her back to high school when she had played it with some of the kids in her year and the year above at lunchtimes. Then, the dares had got quite out of hand, but it was still bound to be a bit of fun with these guys. She watched each of the others voice their views. She wasn't surprised when Lilith hesitated, but she was pleased when they all agreed. When she was asked, she responded with a wry grin and a enthuasiastic,"Sure, I'm up for it!" She leaned forward in anticipation, waiting for Joe to spin the bottle he had brought to the table and running a hand through her hair, tapping her fingertips on the table.

Grinnning he smiled at how childish the others must think him. He shrugged inwardly and reached out for the bottle. Spinning it stronly in a circle, he found himself willing for it not to stop on him. He could think of some dares, but they were not necassarily outragious enough for this group of people. Watching the bottle slowly fail in speed, his eyes followed it and he smiled again, softly this time as it came to a halt with the lid facing Emilie. He leaned forward in his chair and glanced at her expression curiously. Trying to read it.Who wants to think up a dare for Emilie? His voice held a mischevious manner to it.

The group watched intently as the bottle spun, and as it made its final swing, Emilie slapped her forehead as it landed on her. Charlie laughed loudly.''Hard luck Em-'' then when the boy heard Jowell speak, he thought for a moment and scratched his head as ideas played in his mind.''I know, how about we lock you outside for five minutes in the dark. Your scared of it right? Or I could throw you in the pool'' he said and grinned wickedly. Emilie’s eyes widened and she narrowed her eyes at Charlie, then looked away, but the though of being outside in the dark terrified her. Lilith raised her brow at Charlie, well it would take a couple of beers to make the dares interesting, she thought off handedly. And then waited for what the others had to say about what Charlie had said.
[ ooc – we could introduce a little beverage xD would make things interesting ]

[ooc - Yessshh indeed! I think that's a good idea!]
He smiled and chuckled as Charlie suggested what they dared Emilie to do. He glanced at Lilith and saw a thoughtful expression cross her face. He glanced towards the fridge and rose from his chair. Making his way over, he stopped in front of it. Turning around as he opened it he faced the table, projecting his question at everyone surrounding it."Beer anyone?" He looked around the kitchen and began to open a six pack of cans in the fridge.

Chelsea laughed at Charlie's suggestion, but was genuinely surprised that Emilie was that afraid of the dark. Still, it would make for an interesting dare, she mused."I'll have one," she piped up as Joe went to find beer in the fridge. Even though she wasn't a great fan of the harshness of the drink, she didn't really care what kind of alchohol she drank. It would help loosen her up in case it landed on her. She fervently hoped she wouldn't get thrown in the pool, although it would be quite funny. Glancing at Emilie, she tilted her head to one side."What d'ya think, Em?"
