She gave him a mock-glare as he put her down. As the warmth of his lips gently touched hers, she couldn't resist, she slowly wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him back softly.I'm sorry. She murmered into his mouth. Everything was now perfect, wonderful, she would never want to go back to where she was a month ago. With Jason the Jerk. [/center]

Gerard finally released his hold on her.Now then, he said, taking her by the hand.I do believe a certain someone would love to be ridden. He led her into the barn, the lights from the high ceilings above brightening the place fantastically. They came to a stop in front of Moon's stall.I'm gonna go get Saga and send the owner of Grandeur an e-mail. Her tack is where it always was. Hopefully I can get that stallion soon... he muttered as he walked down the aisle.

As he led her down the aisle, she could clear as day remember the times they'd spent in this very barn. She smiled and shook her head as he muttered to himself as he walked down to tack up Saga and send the e-mail about the supposedly beautiful stallion. She let herself into Moon's stall.Hey there, dahlin'. She said softly, stroking the muscular neck. Moon nudged her happily, snuffling her pockets for treats. No, no, Moon. Angel corrected with a firm, but kind smack on the muzzle. She left to get a grooming box and Moon's tack. She began to curry her when she returned. Then she finished grooming with picking out her hooves.Good girl, Moonie. Angel murmered as she began to tack the beautiful mare up. [/center]

Gerard signed into his AIM mail account as soon as he got to the computer and looked to see who was on. Thankfully, the man who owned Grandeur was. Quickly, he e-mailed the man, hopoing he wouldn't sign off. Hey, this is Gerard, the owner of Beauty. I was wondering if you might be interested in selling him to me? Please let me know when you get the chance. Gerard sat anxiously at the computer, waiting impatiently for a response. After a couple of minutes, Gerard went out into the aisle and put Saga out on cross ties and began to brush her down. When a "You've got mail!" sounded from the office, he went back in and sat down again. -Sure. How does $15,000 sound to you?- Gerard smiled, knowing how much he had. While Angel had been gone, he had gone out of town to train horses elsewhere to earn some money on the side. He'd earned a nice sum of money, and it sure as heck was enough to pay for Grandeur. Thinking of how long it had taken him to get Beauty to be bred, he figured the horse could probably be here in about two hours. Yeah, that sounds fine. When are you available to bring him? Gerard hit send and went back out to Saga and picked her hooves. The mare danced about a bit when he tried to pick up her feet, seeing as her previous owners would sometimes crack the whip at her feet if she wasn't fast or high enough. By the time Gerard had finally finished her hooves,"You've got mail!" sounded again. He gave the mare a carrot before going back into the office to see his reply. -I can bring him today or tomorrow. I'm just about to go out and work with a horse so I would probably be on the road in about an hour and a half. Is that okay?- WIthout needing to think about if for a second, Gerard responded,Yeah, that's great. I'm just about to head out too, so if you need anything you can call me on my cell. See you soon. This whole read and respond session had taken about 10 minutes in between grooming Saga. He was pretty sure Angel wasn't quite ready yet, so he was still on schedule. Gerard went back out to Saga and put her saddle, girth, and blanket on before putting on his half-chaps and gloves. Once he'd done this, he slipped on her bridle and fastened it, then led her down the aisle to where Angel were. Guess what? He's bringing Grandeur today! He should be here in about three hours. Plenty of time. You're going to love him!

She moved quickly, but not quickly as to scare her horse. She took the mare out to the crossties and slipped the green saddle blanket onto the grullo back. She then threw the brown western saddle onto Moon, and calmed her as the whites showed in Moon's gentle blue eyes. She slipped off the halter and gently opened the mare's mouth to put in the bit. She unclipped the crossties and led the mare outside to mount up. Moon stood still and calm as Angel mounted.Good girl. Moon's owner cooed as she waited for Gerard. The farm was never silent. Foals neighing urgently for their mothers, dogs ruffing at each other, and et cetera. She then heard Gerard speak. That's wonderful!! She said with much enthusiasm.

I know, he said, mounting up.I'm so excited! Gerard practically bounced up and down in the saddle, but stopped as Saga gave a little buck, clearly stating that she wouldn't be putting up with such nonsense.Easy, he said, looking around towards the pastures.I know where we can ride! He volunteered, with as much enthusiasm as a young child. We can go through the yearling and foal pastures. Sasha installed a couple more gates in all the pastures for riding through. That way you can see both of Beauty's foals.

She rolled her eyes playfully as he practically jumped out of the saddle. The emotion in Saga's eyes was like an impatient mother's.You're worse than a four year old getting their first pony. She said, a glimmer of mischief in her emerald eyes. That's fine. She said, inwardly expressing her enthusiasm. She'd never been one to let her emotions show on the outside, as long as she'd known Gerard, she'd never let her feelings out but only about twice. But Gerard on the other hand, always expressed his emotions wherever and whenever.

Mommy, I want this pony! he exclaimed in a child-like voice, pointing to Saga beneath him. He chuckled and calmed down a bit before nudging the Kaldruber towards the pastures. You're going to love them. You might remember Black Mariah, but she's quite a bit bigger now. And you're going to melt when you see Luxurious.

Oh, no, not THAT one. she joked, her eyes glinting. She urged her Quarter mare closer the Kaldruber that was headed for the pastures.Gerard, I might've been drunk, but I don't have long-term memory loss like someone I know. She said, mock-glaring his way, a half-smile crossing her lips.Oh, really? Who says I like Friesians? She asked, a fake, serious look on her face. [/blockquote]

Gerard pouted for a moment.Well blah! was his only response to her first comment. And as for who says you like Friesians, he paused for a moment, not letting Saga slack off.I do! He grinned, then looked up towards the pasture. They had just come up to the gate for the yearling pasture. Gerard hopped down and opened it, letting Saga and Moon inside before closing it behind them. Once he'd mounted again, he sat up in the saddle, attempting to see if the yearlings were anywhere close. Not a one in sight.I guess we're going to have to go look for them.

Moon shuttered slightly as they passed Saga. She rolled her eyes once again at his comment.Sure...... She said, drawing the word out with a grin. When they entered the pasture, Angel looked around with gentle eyes for the many yearlings. They're hiding from you, your face scares them. She said with a mischeivious smile, her eyes dangerously glinting in his direction. [/blockquote]

Gerard's eyebrows raised slightly.I think they're more afraid of you, stranger, he retorted with a small grin. Saga shifted anxiously, ready to get going.Well then, I think we've had quite enough with the small talk. Let's ride. He clucked to Saga and gave her a nudge with his heels to get her up to a canter. The Kaldruber tossed her head eagerly as she sped up a bit, nostrils flaring as she took in the crisp air. As they advanced farther into the pasture, the yearlings appeared before them, all different colors and sizes.

Hey!!! Angel screeched as Saga and Gerard left Moon and her in their dust. She dug her heels and clucked to Moon, and Moon began to trot, taking her sweet, sweet time.C'mon girlie. Angel urged, knowing the mare was out of shape. She kicked her gently and the mare moved into a rocking-horse motion canter, she clucked again, and Moon sped up more, lengthing to catch Saga. The mare was around two lengths behind Saga and Gerard when they came to a halt in front of the yearlings. They ranged from sorrel to deep, deep ebony, and from nine hands tall to fourteen. Angel sat on Moon, eyeing the yearlings. [/blockquote]

Gerard slowed the mare as they approached the yearlings. Thankfully, they were used to riders going through the pasture and people being around. Black Mariah was no longer the leggy foal she'd been when Angel had last been here, but near full grown. She was still all black, except for a small snip on her black and pink muzzle. The filly trotted over to Gerard, surprisingly accostomed to his prescence for only being about a year and a half.Hey there, Mariah, he cooed, rubbing between her eyes softly. You remember angel, right? The flicka looked around as if she'd understood and inspected Angel.

Angel dismounted, giving Moon a thankful pat between her soft muzzle and her cheekbone. She neared the larger, yet still draught-like, black flicka, her eyes soft, like a loving mother's. She clucked softly with her tounge, in a seeming trance state. She couldn't take her eyes off of the now-beautiful filly/mare.Now, now Mariah. She said gently, approaching the filly, her hand reached out, more feather-like and angelic than when she ever stroked Moon. She was mystified by the ebon coat, and the innocent expression the filly wore, her green eyes were half-closed as she became nearer to the flicka.
