It was barely days after her 17th birthday, and Lilly was briskly walking down to the barn. Inside, she was greeted warmly by a chourus of nckers and whinnys.
I must represent food...
Lilly sighed, laughing. She had worked at Crystal for some time now, and absolutly loved every second. The daily chires of feeding, riding, mucking out and generally caring for the horses, especially those under her care. Today, It was the start of the breeding season, and Lilly was to help Sasha out.
She wlked down the asles, ptomising demanding horses she would fix them later. She reached Black Ice, and lead him out. She walked the sallion to the large breeding stall, then returned for Butterfly Effect, putting her in the stall. Then, after cheacking the water and beeding, she waited.

Sasha jogged down the stables and posted the list up on a nearby stall for Lilly to see.

Lilly found the note, and, although dissapointed that she was too have no company, was glad to start work. She cheacked off the list on her fingers. Eight mares altogher, though two were done. She decided to cross them off when she removed the stallion. First she fetched Raging Storm and Devil's Rocket, placing them in two of the huge stalls. Then she lead in Rapid Fire, the stallion bright with energy, and knowing the scent, was in the least difficult to manage. She latched the stall and left him with Raging Storm, heading out for B.loody Brew. Black Ice x Butterfly Effect

Small taps from her riding boots echoed slightly in aisles, seeing as all the others were out excercising. She looked in on the mares, trying to remember which ones she'd written down that were in heat.Lovely Lady... she remembered, quickly scrawling the name out on a piece of paper. The palomino pranced about in her stall excitedly, sticking her head out of the stall and nudging Sasha.I know, girl, we'll see who we can find for you. she gave the mare a loving pat before continuing on.
Freedom's Call, Desert Angel, Saga, Hot Cocoa, Leah...Starry Phantom. she quickly jotted these names down and headed back to the note she'd posted before.

These are mares in heat, still looking for stallions for them. I'll write down which ones once I figure it out.

Lilly locked B|oody Brew in with Devil's Rocket, and fetched in Lovely Girl, Black Angel, Spanish Eyes and Crystal, plascing each in a seperate breeding stall. She smiled as most watched her bring them in, two at a time, while others rolled, or sniffed the new straw. But most were very perky, knowing that there were stallions around. As she was taking Black Ice out and putting him back in the paddock, she saw the second notice. On her return, she read it over, and returned to the stable. She figured she had seven more mares to bring in, and five stallion or more, along with two too be moved. She cheacked in on Rapid Fire and B|oody Brew, and removed them, placing them each in there next stall. Once she'd done that, Lilly brought in Breeze and Ace, and popped them in, laughing as Breeze flirted as soon as he saw Love, who nickered happily. ooc|| Oh, do I say what foals look like or not yet? Do the mares remain in the stalls after being bred or go into the paddock? |

Sasha strolled down the aisle looking at stallions now, trying to find the perfect-or near perfect-one for each of the mares yet to be matched. Every now and again, her small but strong hand would scribble down a name on her notepad, and finally she'd made her decision. She made her way over to the note and crossed out each x, putting a name in it's place.

Lilly had now brought in all the mares, and was getting the stallions in. Grey Skies, then Ace. She was taking out Rapid Fire, Breeze and Bloody Brew when she saw the notice, and added the combinations to her own list. Now she got in Pirates, Moon and Rocky, and left them with the mares. She had two more to do so far, but took a quick break. |

Sasha strode back into the breeding barn once more and looked about for Lilly. She found her after a minute and asked,So, any trouble? Sasha extended a bottled water towards Lilly, sitting down on a hay bale and motioning to her that she could do the same. |

Lilly turned, slightly stunned but quickly recovered. She took the drink and plonked down.
None so far. Six in at the moment, two to go and seven are all up done all tested positive.
She smiled proudly, nd couldn't wait till the foals came.

Lilly smiled, and her cheeks reddened slightly. She had never been good at thanking someone for a compliment. But after a paused she forced herself to say it. She meant it, but just was... doubtful of herself at times.
Um... Thankyou.
She smiled, running her fingers through her brown hair.
This place really seems like home now. I love it here.
She grinned. Deciding to change the subjuct, she added after a moment of silence.
So Sash, if all the mares nearly are pregnant, we'll haealot more time to excersise the boys, then.

Ohhh yeah. she said with smile.And we'll have to get some more money to be able to take care of all these foals. Sasha's eyes wandered to the rehab barn just visable at the end of the barn.I think some of them are finally ready to be sold. she said quietly. After another moment's thought.After this, you want to help me decide which ones can be sold? |

Lilly nodded, and watched her leave. Then she jumped up, and fetched Colby, Leah Bada Bing and Starry Phantom, and set them in there stalls. Adfter that she got out each of the stallions that were in while Sash and her had been chatting. It took her a few minutes to get out Gray Skies, Ace of Spades, Pirate's Rum, Dark Moon and Rocky. She popped them all in paddocks and tested all the remaining horses for pregnacy. Finally she double cheacked all the horses were fine and safe before briskly walking to the Rehab Barn.
