Matt laughed at her comment, and looked to the jump halfway across the ring.Yeah, I guess you do. But at least yours will jump. Patting the mare gently, he turned his head to look for the jump. Hopefully this time she would go over. The Oldenburg moved around both turns of the short end of the arena, and looked warily at the approaching jump.C'mon,, he urged her, giving her small squeezes as they got closer. This time, the mare went over, although hesitantly.Thatsagirl!

Lilly frowned. Squeeze her only about four strides before, then leave her once shes straight at it. Use your forward position and voice to encourage her. And only your voice if you think shes hesttant. If she slows, then uses your legs. See if it helps. She meant it kindly and throught perhaps Matt's nudges distracted her. Although it was obvious she was nervous and had a bad experiance. Still, it was worth a shot. She guided Cariba over the spread again, and silently demonstarded with a quiet Up, up, up!

Thanks, I'll try that. He watched Lilly demonstrate, thinking. She obviously knew a lot about horses, probably more than him. If he needed any help with anything, he'd be sure to ask her. He took a deep breath and did what Lilly had suggested. Cocoa was a bit hesitant, but with Matt's encouragement she jumped a bit more gracefully this time.

Lilly smiled as She watched him glide. He had done well. He was a good rider, knowing how to do it when asked. Lily asked Cariba to try going over raised trot poles to encorage her to find space and steps inbetween, after a few times, they attempted the double again. With poles in front of it now, she was more comfortable and more easy about the jump.

Matt praised the mare and watched Lilly and Caribia out of the corner of his eye. The mare seemed more at ease about the double now. He turned his head and looked for the next jump, turning once more and aiming in the center.Alright,, let's see it again, he murmured softly. Cocoa's ears flicked back to catch his words, but soon faced forward, alert. This time, she didn't seem as hesitant about the jump.

ooc. Have fun in Maine. I'll wait patiently
Lilly watched the duo as she glanced across the arena. Seeing that they were fine, she guessed it was a mixture of relaxing, getting used to Matt and being more prepared. Lilly swatted a stray lock of hair out of her face and cantered around the arena before jumping a 2 ft double. Cariba was excited and bucked but Lilly held her steady and jumped four jumps of varing heights, the double again then three more. She patted and praised Carba endlessly during and after. She had done well over the makeshift course and Lilly slowed her to a walk, extremely excited for the mare. She was doing really well, Lilly wished that Sasha had seen her performance of tight turns, high and wide jumps. All they needed now was hight. And that was the next step.

((Thanks, you're awesome!))
After Matt had jumped Cocoa once more, who hadn't hesitated at all this time, he steered the mare out of Lilly and Caribia's way. He watched the pair jump the course, and applauded when they'd finished. Cocoa whinnied excitedly, as if she were cheering the round as well. Matt nudged her into a walk over to Lilly. That was awesome! He exclaimed. She really knows what she's doing. And you too, of couse. He added on with a slight blush.

ooc. YAY!!! Your back!!!!!*Throws a party*
Lilly's chest heaved slightly as she relaxed her sholders and arms in the gentle walk. The mare had been quick, and it had taken alot of stenghth to keep her steady. She smiled as Matt commented on her performance apon riding over. 'That was awesome!' Thanks that means alot. She said, after a moment. Lilly had a habit of just smiling when complimented, and usually kicked herself afterward, but she was learning. Slowly. 'She really knows what she's doing. And you too, of couse' This caused Lilly to feel estastic, and grin, unable to speak. She felt so odd she almost felt like she was about to lean over and kiss him.... But then of course, Cariba took her tenseness as a aid and took of at a high headed canter. Lilly couldn't help but laugh, and be rather ammoyed at Cariba, circling her slowly. Easy girl, Hey, Woah now... She got her back to a walk after a struggle which had her unbalenced for a short time. Shaking her head she returned to Matt and before he could speak she smiled speeishly, and spoke one word quietly. Thanks.

((lol, thanks))
Matt offered her a smile.Hey, I always tell the truth. he said once she'd returned from calmind down Caribia.Well, almost always. I think it's impossible for one person to tell the truth every single time. He thought for a moment before a second grin made an appearance.I have an idea, he said.Follow me. Matt went over to the gate and opened it, moving Cocoa outside and holding it open for Lilly.

Lilly was unsure what to say to Matt's 'truth' comment so simply smiled in response. After the moments pause, he spoke again. And she broke into a grinn, looking at the boy warily, but excited. She nudged Cariba out the gate and stood there, waiting for Matt, her eyebros furroed slightly, a curious smile in place.

Matt nudged Cocoa just outside the gate and closed it. He grinned, but said nothing to Lilly as he moved past her and trotted Cocoa down the dirt path and to one of the empty pastures. He opened this gate and went inside, waiting for Lilly and Caribia to enter.

Cariba tuggged on the reins, seeing Cocoa in front of her. With her curious and confused look mixed with a smile still on, she nudged the arab into a trot and headed straight into the parsture, and stuggled to stop Cariba for long enough to shut the gate, but managed. In a curious but kind way, Lilly spoke. Okay, Matt, mind telling me why we are here?

A small grin still played upon his lips as Cocoa approached Caribia at a slow walk. He turned the mare so she was side-by-side with Caribia. The answer to that question is very simple, he began, his smile widening. Suddenly, his arm darted out and tapped her shoulder. You're it! he exclalimed before sending Cocoa into a fast canter.

Lilly sat back, astonded. Within a moment she regained her self and burst out laughing. Grin on her lips, she leaned forward and nudged Cariba. The mare recognised a game and trotted quickly, Lilly squeezed her into a solid canter after the duo. They got very close and Lilly reched out, taping Matt's sidses and swerving away.

Matt gasped when he heard how close the hoofbeats were, then at the tap on his shoulder. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Caribia swerve away from Cocoa, then sent the Oldenberg after her. His heels tapped her sides lightly, urging the mare to pick up the pace a little bit. Cocoa quickly obliged and got Matt the extra length ahead that he needed to tag Lilly. He halted Cocoa and turned her in the opposite direction, this time urging her into a gallop.
