Nick walked through the park gates, his faded black jeans hung loseley around his legs. A dark grey hoodie was pulled over his pale, blonde hair. his battered converse on his feet were letting the dank weather in. His grey eyes dashed around and surveyed the gloomy scene. He had nobody, he was alone in the world. All he wanted was to forget everything that had happened, and just move on, start again. That could happen here. He hoped. Swivelling his eyes towards the silhouettes against the trees, one hunched on the ground, the other standing above. he decided to ignore the pair. Maybe if he left them alone, they wouldn't notice him. He leaned against an oak tree, scuffing the ground with his foot. He let out a sigh and looked above him. Maybe he could camp here for the night, it was better than that cramped hotel room at any rate. He gazed at the falling leaves and thought how beautiful they were, since he had moved here he felt like he could open up. Be himself. A soft breeze brushed his hair from his eyes and he glanced around. He was still alone, he slunk down to the base of the tree, and felt the hard roots beneath him, he moved into a comfortable position, and felt himself drifting off into a slumber.
He was woken by the sound of voices at the park gate. He smiled to himself,They've probably just had too much to drink he thought inwardly. He didn't feel like dozing off again, so he sat and listened to the sounds around him. He had had a lot of time like this lateley, he was begining to want other people's company.

Lilly jogged uncomforttably through the park. It was dark, almost creepy here. She shuddered as she saw sihuettes of dark figures in the moonlight. She was adored in a navy fitted hoodie, dark jeans and converese. She had needed to escape and get away, so came here though the darkness closed in earlier then she had expected and she now jogged to stay warm. Seeiung a bench, she stopped and sat down, heaving slightly. It was cold, and she sat avioding looking at the shady characters around. The voices by the gate made her head turn, but she slunk lower onto the bench.

He saw a girl running through the park and his eyes followed her movements, until she came to a stop and slunk down on a bench. He saw her shiver. He sat up from the tree, and walked slowly over to her. His hands sunk deep into his pockets, he sat down on the bench beside her, although he left a considerable amount of space between them. He spoke up;
Scary sometimes, Isn't it?
He thought it mighht losen her up a bit if some form of conversation was made. He waited patiently for a reply.

Lilly turned as a guy sat down beside her she looked at him curiously, why had he joined her? Why was he even here? Then the question came of why was she even here. She wasn't so sure anymore. She turned slightly, so as to sit up a tad and face him.
Erm... yeah. I guess.
She said, not really sure how to answer. Awkwad as it was, she continuted the flow of conversation. If this random guy was ok, and she didn't have a reason to worry - seriously, a comlete stanger comng over in the dark, hands in pockets and says that is not exactly comforting - then safty in numbers.
So... um... You got a name?
One eyebrow arched, she smiled.

He sat up more and turned to face her, he looked at her expression and laughed inwardly. It was one he was accustomed to, having recieved it many times. He took his hands out of his pockets, realizing he might appear slightly disturbing. He replied;
Yeah Smiling, He added My name's Nick.You?
He pulled his hoodie closer around his body, and shivered slightly. He hadn't realized that it would get dark so quickly. Seeing as he had left gis hotel reasonably early. Time seemed to have flown by, the only problem was, he wasn't having any fun. He looked back at the girl beside him, simply for something to fo. He didn't make his stare too harsh, or she may find him creepy.

Lilly. Lilly caught his gaze, watching his eyes. She paused for a moment, her thourghts trailing off to yesterday. It had been good, but in no way normal. She had had an awkwad start then trained Cariba in showjumping before played tag on horses with her friend. Her seventeenth birthday. God, how weird. She and Matt were good friends, and it didn't bother her that he was gay... Okay, the throughts were weird. She shoke her head mentally, and turned her attention back to the present.
Her mocha hued pools serched the perimeter, the two under the tree were swaggering and swearing. Their silhuettes dark against the moonlight. She started to hate the silence.
So... you staying around here?

He looked up form the floor, and ganced at her. Lilly, he liked the sound of the name. She seemed slightly distracted, so he replied;
I'm staying at a hotel around the corner. He paused You?
He looked back at the floor. He wasn't the most outward of people, so he came across as shy. When he relaxed, he was known to be good fun. But given the events of the past few years, he wasn't exactly bursting with confidence. He looked at her quickly, and let his grey eyes linger on her face for a moment.

A smile on her features now, Lilly felt more comfortable as she adjusted her position to more comfortably face Nick. Really? I did when I first came here... Horrible place. She laughed. The dingy room was all she could afford on her first few nights. Musty, smelly and dirty the tiny room allowed no space to move. I live at Crystal Stable, I'm a worker there. She smiled, happy with her set up. A question of if he rode formed as she thought of the place she called home.

He thought of his temporary home. He let out a deep sigh, it was cheap, and all that he could afford. He made up his mind to get a job, preferably at a stable. When he was younger, he was lucky enough to be able to ride at his boarding school. He hadn't ridden since his thirteenth birthday, but still remembered the basics. He smiled inwardly as he remembered riding along the cliff roads. That was all in the past though, and he had moved on from happy memories. He replied;
Yeah, it is.He paused,Do you ride at all?
He looked back at her, and this time held her gaze. Instead of looking away out of embarassment, he continued to look at her. He added,
Do you know if I could get a job there? He stoped again Itr's just, I don't have one at the moment

Lilly held Nick's gaze. She smiled, at the mention of riding. There was something she was comfortable about.
Yeah. Actually alot. She paused.Do you?
She listened, tinking. After a moment she nodded, her smile broadening.
Um, I think Crystal is pretty happy to get workers, though theres alot, the seem to always accept more.
She figued he was new to the area and thus was unemployed.

He smiled and looked down at his battered converse. He replied;
I used to, a couple of years ago. Before...
He was about to sayBefore my parents died, But he just couldn't bring himself to remember the past. He looked bacl at her and forced a smile.
Do you have any horses then?
He sunk lower onto the bench and looked backj at her waiting to see what she would say.

ooc// lol np.
She nodded. Understanding the many harsh reasons to give up riding. She decided against her will not to push it.
Well, I ride Six Crystal horses, and care for the rest with everyone else, covering, feeding, turing out, that stuff, and yeah. I have a American Saddlebred. But....
Her smile faded, her lip turning uncvomfortably.

He noticed her sudden quietness, and wasn't sure whether to ask more about it. He decided that he would chance it. He looked at her, and his brow creased into a worried frown. It didn't seem right that she should be upset, and he was sat here thinking about himself. He said;
I don't want to upset you, It just, what exactly do you mean? He shifted slightly in his seat, and looked at her.

She added finally. They worked nicely, but something didn't work.

He smiled akwardly and closed his eyes for a few moments, thinking how wonderful it would be to reide again. He soon snapped out of it, and came back to the present. He msiled warmly to her and said;
Yeah, I know what you mean.
He looked at the tree which he had sat in, just beyond it, he could see the drunkards leving through the park gates, he relaxed a little more, and sighed deeply.
