Josh kicked Monk into a gallop and they took off down to the ranch, Monk egar to return home and eat. Once there, Josh untacked him, brushed him, and let him into the pasture before getting to chores. Sam stood by one of the pasture fences, gazing at the horses in there. Alex stood next to her, chatting happily to her mom who nodded and smiled at the right moments.

Jake walked upt to his wife and daughter.Hi girls. He said, bending down and picking Alex up and kissing her on the head.How's my little girl? He asked.
Chris started up the truck, she was going to Crickle Wood so she could take and shower and put on clean clothes.

Alex laughed happily, clapping her hands.Hi Baba! she squeled, wrapping her arms around his neck. Sam smiled softly, giving a chuckle as Alex planted a wet one on Jake's cheek.Hello honey. How was work today? she asked, kissing Jake's other cheek.

Jake ruffled his little girl's hair fondly. He kissed Sam's cheek softly and replied.Eh, same, I guess. He said with a soft chuckle.

Sam smiled softly and raised an eyebrow at Alex, who was giggling.Whats funny? she asked, making a evil face. Alex gave a crow of laughter and clung to Jake.Baba kissed Mama, she giggled, finding it funny. Sam smiled at their little girl and just shook her head.

Jake chuckled slightly.If Alex gets all the kisses, wouldn't Mama be jelous? He asked, tickling Alex. He lifted her up and put her on his shoulders, holding onto her little legs.

Alex just giggled and patted Jake's head, gripping some of his hair but gently.Mama wouldn't get jelus 'cause she loves me, Alex said with a smile. Sam smiled at Alex and tickled her bare foot. Like her mom, she didn't wear shoes.I would too and then I would eat you all up, Sam said, winking at Alex before smiling at Jake.

Jake laughed quietly. He tickled Alex's foot gently and looked over at Sam, smiling, he had such a wonderful, small, yet wonderful family.

Sam smiled back at him, her eyes dancing. Alex yawned sleepily and laid her head on the top of Jake's, blinking.I think someone's sleepy, Sam said softly as Alex yawned again.Nu-uh! Alex retorted, sitting abit taller.

Jake took her off his shoulders and held her to his chest. He nodded and winked at Sam before heading to the house. He knew that by the time he got inside, Alex would be fast asleep.

Sam chuckled softly and followed him, looking back to make sure the gate was shut. Alex yawned somemore, grumbling she wasn't sleeply, but fell asleep in Jake's arms, her eyes closed delicately.

He stood in the doorway waiting for Sam, but, he refrained from that and headed to Alex's room whree he laid her down gently.Sleep tight, darlin. He said quietly, turning off her lights.

Alex yawned and curled up under her horse quilt Sam made for her last winter. Sam walked over to Jake, smiling softly.She's so cute when she's asleep, Sam said softly to her husband.
