Jake smiled at Josh's plead, laughing sympitheticly.He doens't know how to climb a tree? He asked Sam quizzically. Chris giggled softly and looked at Josh.Josh, just dangle your legs and let go, you'll fall in the grass, not any worse than falling off a horse in sawdust. She explained.

Sam smiled.Bad childhood experience with trees. One of our cousins dared him to climb a big old oak tree and when he reached a hole in the truck, a coon flew out at him, she said with a soft laugh.I don't know who was scared the most: the coon, Josh, or our cosin when they landed on him. Josh just clung there and whimpered, lookind around him. Alex scurried down and hung on a branch next to Josh's. She flashed him a sweet smile, making him pale in the face. Whoosh and she let go of her branch, landing on the ground. Grinning at Chris, she began to 'cry', making Josh worry and jump out the tree next to her.GOT YA! she cried and ran away.

Chris folded in her lips, trying to keep from laughing. She smiled sweetly at Josh, but you could tell she was holding back a laugh, soon she broke out, laughing like a maniac. She gasped and smiled. She brushed back her brown hair from her face, it was red, and one of her eyes had a red gash by it.

Josh glared at Alex's retreating back and looked at Chris, pretending to be sad. But when he saw the red gash, he got up and walked over, frowning.Chris, what happened near your eye? he asked quietly, putting his hands in his pockets.

Eh, foolin' around with Great Danes doesn't always work out. She said with a smile, one of Tango's pups, Millie had scratched her while they were playing.Got to play with someone when you're all alone at a big ranch. She said with a shrug, all of her family were living with other people, Kevin with Andrea, Nic with Melianie, Brie moved...etc.

Josh nodded, smiling.Ok, thats good. I thought someone tried to beatyou up, he said.Its been getting crowded around here, with all the dogs, people, and everything. I am looking for a place around here. Or I might move back home. He shrugged. It was fun living with Sam but sooner or later, you had to move out. The family was growing and spreading.

Heck Josh, ya really think I'd let someone do that to me? She asked with a playful smirk.Better being crowded than alone. She said with a knowing look.Growing up with four brothers, two your triplets, makes a four-bedroom house crowded, I didn't get my own bedroom 'til I was 15 and we moved to a seven-bedroom mansion basicly, my family went into deeep debt. She shrugged smiling.

Josh smild slightly, shrugging.My family has always been close. When you get to the age of marriage or to move out, you get a place on the family ranch. Else its off to one of the branch ranches, he said.I was lucky to get out with Sam and she was lucky that she wasn't the next ranch head.

Chris smiled, flipping her hair back flirtingly.Only three of us took over ranches...Alex, Ty and I. She said with a shrug.And I'm stuck with cousins, Jake, Kevin and NIC! God...and Brie moved out...that little city prep! She rolled her eyes and rolled up her sleeves, and ruffled her wavy hair. She looked at Josh and gave his shoulder a playful punch.Poor little Joshie-poo got stwuck in a bwig mwean tweeie! She said with a laugh, then she turned around and skittered up the tree like a pro, sitting on a low branch, her feet dangling and resting on Josh's shoulders.

Josh raised an eyebrow up at her but cracked a smil. Grabbing her legs, he attempted to pull her out.You will get stuck! Don't cry little girl, he laughed, pulling off one of her shoes and seeing if her feet were ticklish.

Josh put his arms around her, threw his head back and laughed. When he finished laughing, he looked down at Chris, eyes sparkling. For some reason, it felt comfortable to have her in his arm
