Sam tied teh man's arms then used the other end top tie hsi feet together, patting him on his head.There you go you foul man. I hope you rot here, she growled. Looking at Jake, she nodded.As soon as we get to the hospiptal, I am callin gthe police. Josh rolled over at home, covering his face with a pillow and Jay got up an dlooked around, seeing no one. With a shrug, he went into the kitchen to eat some breakfast and get ready for school.

Emma had spent the night here, because she was with Jake all day and it was midnight before they got home from the movie "Barnyard" she got up streaching, she saw Jay and blushed. She quietly got some clothes and raced for the nearest bathroom, she got dressed and came out.Uh.....hi Jay. She said blushing agian.
Jake smiled at Sam's determination.Okay, as long as we get the poor boy to the hospital. He siad.

Sam nodded adn went over to Jake, looking worriedly at Aidan. Now that her angeery was gone, seh felt weak and helpless.

Jake looked at Sam with worried eyes, he gently knelt down, putting a hand under Aidan's head.This'll probably hurt Aidan, trust me, I'm not trying to. He said, lifing him up, an arm under his legs too.

AIdan had come to a bit, and listened to the sounds around him. His father was tied up and taken care of, and he was comforted by Jake and Sam's words. When he felt Jake kneel down beside him and take a hold of him under his legs and his head, he cried out, the pain overwhelming him. He knew the man didn't mean to hurt him, so he relaxed...but only slightly. His swollen eyes opened a bit and he looked over at his father. It was a good thing Aidan was so skinny..carrying a fifteen year old boy was not an easy thing to do. He groaned softly, feeling as if he was going to be sick. He closed his eyes once more and felt a bit better. He wondered where Josh and Jay were... |

Jake heaved Aidan up, far enough to slide him into the full-sized backseat. He looked at Aidan's tattered face, his swollen eyes, his bruises, his cuts, his scars. He was accually greatful now, that Aidan was underweight. He was much easier to lift.

Sam kept her pistol steady on teh man and looked at Lady.Lady, gaurd, she said and the hound snarled at the man, her hackles raised.Now you have a friend to keep you company. Try to run off, and she will kill you, Sam said coldly and hopped into the back of the truck. She would call April as soon as she could.

Fear and apprehension filled Aidan as he was lifted into the truck. He groaned softly and then worked up the strength to raise his head slightly.I don't want to go to the hospital... He told them, his voice filled with honesty, but also with the fear. He let his head fall back down upon the seat, and he tried turning on his side. As soon as the shoot of pain from his ribs hit him, he closed his eyes tightly, crying out loudly and held onto his sides. |

Sam looked at Aidan worriedly, her eyes soft.Shh its ok.. You have to go to the hospital. If you don't, you will be hurt even worse, she said calmly. But inside, she was screaming with fear. WHat if he got sick from marrow poisoning or something worse? Those thoughts were pushed away as she brushed Aidan's hair out of his face with a trembling hand.Hey Aidan. Lady is going to have puppies.. isn't that wonderful?

As he heard her words, he didn't argue. He didn't want to die...not yet. If he hadn't met Sam and Jake, or Josh or Jay..he would have considered just letting himself past. But now he might just have something to live for. But he would never know if he gave up. He nodded in response, and then let his eyes flicker open as her cool hand touched his forehead. He shivered, a chill passing through him from the slight infection he was getting from his open cuts and his broken bones. Hearing about the puppies, a small smile flickered on her face.I c-can just i-imagine her p-protecting her puppies. He gasped out, his teeth chattering. |

Jake sighed shakily, slamming the truck's door. He looked to his new wife and Aidan, smiling warily. He hands trembled gently as he inserted the key into the egnition, turning the key fast, he reved the engine, he pressed the gas gently, driving off. |

Sam griped the side of teh truck, her eyes worried as she looked back. THe sillote of Lady stood before teh man and she could almost hear her snarls. Her attention went back to Aidan and she placed her hand on hsi forehead, smiling softly. He was beginning to feel warm but it could have been from just hsi nerves.

He couldn't stop shivering, even though he had curled up as best he could to keep his warmth. He felt Sam's hand on his forehead, although his eyes were halfway closed. He was sweating, but shaking, and he didn't like it.S-Sam...I'm c-cold... He admited and then wondered what she could do. He would just have to suck it up. |

Jake shuffled through some things, finnaly finding the blanket that he had in the truck for emergencies, like when Brookie was sick, he didn't use it then, but he could use it now, he leaned back, draping it over Aidan.We're almost there. He said, seeing the tall Hospital.

Sam smiled gently at Aidan, pushign his hair back out of hsi forehead. That hand was shaking gently as she looked up to see the hospital.Thank God Almighty in heaven and all his angels, she said quietly, more to herself. In the back of her mind, she tucked in teh remembering of to reach April as soon as Heavenly possible.
