Sam smiled softly at him, utting her shoulder aroudn him and hugging his shoulders softly.Aidan, you are already being loved. Jay loves you as his big brother, Charlie and Ebony love you as their best friend, I love you as my own blood, Jake loves you, even JOSH loves you even though he won't admit it, she said, looking at him carefully. She didn't want him to leave. She loved him like he was her own child and it would break her heart for him wanting to leave.

He listened soflty and nodded his head when she finished speaking. He didn't want to leave, but he felt it was the only choice he had. What if his dad came back? What if he wanted to take him again? He would gain custody over Aidan...he just knew he would. Sighing softly, he looked down, not wanting to admit it..but knowing he had to.I'm afraid...What if he comes back? What if he takes me? He said softly, his eyes locking on Ebony. |

Sam hugged him gently again.He won't, I promise you. April the sheriff in town sent him to Sing Sing. He won't be coming back in a long time, she said gently. April had pulled some strings so he was far away but she really had to work to keep Lady from being uthineized because she attacked him. Right now, though, Aidan's dad was probably being sentance by the judge.

He looked up as she spoke, feeling better instantly. What was Sing Sing? But he wouldn't question. It was better that he didn't know where it was. He took a deep breath and looked over at Jake, and then back at Sam.If you want me...then I'll stay. But I won't be upset if you want me to go. He told her honestly and then waited for her reply. |

He didn't pull away as she messed up his hair, only raised a hand to smooth it back down once she was done. He looked up at her as she spoke, and a small smile tugged at the corner of his mouth, and he nodded. He then listened to her next words, and became serious. He was still apprehensive about going outdoors..alone or with someone else. He sighed, but knew what he wanted to do. He nodded.I would like to..if it's still alright. His gaze traveled down to Ebony, and he smiled softly at her. |

A smile came to Sam's face adn she hugged hsi shoulders softly.It will be grand! Besides, you are smarter then Jay when it comes to helping with hurt animals, she said.Now, you can go rest in you and Jay's room and later we can discuss your job. Ebony ran into teh kitchen and went up to Lady, who fell asleep by her food dish. Opening a sleepy eye, seh growled softly and fel back asleep, leaving EBony to look at her.

He looked up at her, his eyes shining. THey still held a bit of fear inside of them, but it could be gently coaxed out of him with time and patience. He took a deep breath and nodded at her words, not wanting to argue. He watched as Ebony ran into the kitchen to go and bug her mom. He looked up at Sam and then Jake.Thanks. He said softly and then went into the kitchen. He bent down and picked Ebony up, holding her close to his chest.Come on Ebony..leave your ma alone. She's tired after caring for all four of you little monsters. He said softly and laid a hand on Lady's hand before carrying Eb gently away, bringing her into the room with him. He left the door cracked just in case she would want to leave. He plopped her down on the bed and sat near his pillow, crosslegged and staring at her. |

Ebony stared back at him and finally began to walk around, sniffing the bed. Her fur was already getting its wirery touch that her mother had. Her siblings were getting it for the were getting close enough to be weaned from her and sent on their spearate ways, or sorta.

Aidan just smiled at her, but he found himself growing tired. He pulled back the covers and took off his shoes, then slid into bed. He laid down and curled into his own security ball, watching Ebony with happy eyes. Sighing, he patted the spot next to him just in case she wanted to lay down. |

Ebony bounced over, hor ears flying and laid down next to him, sprawled out, Her back was pressed against his chest and her head rested close to his, her eyes already closed. Softly, her sides moved up and down and she opened an eye alittle to look at Aidan.

As she bounded over, he couldn't help but laugh. When she plopped down, he smiled and then put his arm over her gently, stroking her fur as he laid there. Seeing her eye, he quickly closed his own, making her think he wasn't paying attention to her any more. |

Ebony yawned widely and closed her eyes again, floating off into sleepy world. Her tail thumped softly and stilled. When her sides moved up, so did Aidan's arm. When they went back down, they also went down.

Aidan soon knew that she was asleep and opened his eyes, looking at her softly. He was glad that Sam had let him keep her as his own. His hand still moving on her side, he soon found himself finally drifting to sleep...peaceful for the first time in ages. No nightmares or anything. It was amazing really..for the puppy was the one making him at ease. Sighing softly, he stayed by her, not wanting her to go anywhere.

Ebony shifted quietly and went back into a deep slumber, her eyes closed gently. In her dreams, she dreamed about chasing wolves through snow, her long and sturdy legs plowing thorugh the snow. Her fangs were bared and other Wolfhounds were behind her, howling and snarling. Farther behind, men rode sturdy mountian ponies, following the hounds tracks. It made her whimper softly but she soon quieted.
((Oh nothin. Just some new stuff's been put up.. Should we have Aidan see or dream Ebony's dream?))
