He touched noses with her, and then froze, his body stiffening as he heard the other mare. He turned his head, his eyes catching the sight of the other stag. But there was something keeping him away. He reared up, wheeling around in challenge for both mares. Trumpeting, he landed and galloped forward, thinking he could jump it. But the fence was too high, and he couldn't make it. Slamming to a halt, he turned and galloped the other way, but saw fence there as well..along with Jay. He halted, now confused. Each way he turned and ran, there was fence all around him. His heart beat increased and he forgot about the mare, now wanting to get out in fear of being domesticated. He would as time went on..but it was new and frightening for the feral stag. He whisteled loudly, an ear splitting sound, and then paced back and forth along the front fence. |

Jay sat on teh fence, letting him rn about and panick. Molly snorted softly and went back to grazing, ignoring the stallion again. The other mare, Samurai, laid her ears back when the stallion tried to claim her as his. No one owned her, well.. except her human and even then she had to behave for the privlage. With a snort she was over the fence and facing down the stallion.

Ajax wasn't paying attention to either mares...or the stallion at the moment. He was too busy with trying to escape. He reared up a bit as he halted, his hooves clapping down upon one of the top boards. It moved a bit, but it didn't fall. He snorted as he landed, and then turned his body, kicking out with his hind legs. He contacted with it, but it didn't do anything except bend slightly. He whinnied shrilly and then paced a few more times before finally settling. It seemed as if he was trapped. His body flinched a little and his eyes swept over the pasture. They met Jay, and he trumpeted, galloping towards the boy...the only thing that was familiar in this strange place. He skidded to a halt just before him, his ears perekd towards him in wonder. |

Jay smiled at him adn hopped off the fence, walking to teh gate that connected this pasture to the other one. Opening it, he looked at the stallion then closed it. Opening it. Closing it. He did that a few times and finally left it open, the other stallion, Toughy, grazing on teh other side of it. Samurai snorted and nipped Molly's rump, making her follwo her into theother pasture.

Ajax wheeld away from him and galloped towards the other fence, his muscles bulging under his coat. He was slightly thin, but that was to be expected since he was a wild stallion..but he was in pretty good shape. He tossed his head and suddenly heard the click of the latch. He snapped his head up, looking in that direction, his mane blowing all over the place, his ears forward and his nostrils flaring. He trotted forward, his movements stiff and controled. He halted as Jay closed it, and then watched as he opened it once more. SNorting, he suddenly galloped forward, thinking Jay was goign to close it again. Seeing the other stallion, he suddenly changed course and slid to a halt a few feet away. He squealed angrily, and then reared up in challenge, waiting to see what would happen. |

Toughylifted hsi head, blinking a few times. His mouth was full of soft grass and he snorted, lowering it again to eat. He wasn't hsi problem. Samurai, on teh other hand, whipped around and squeled, her eyes narrowed. But, also in teh pasture with Toughy, was the msutang herd, Holly, Liz, Beliver, and Giner Snap. Holly lifted his head and tossed it nervously, herding his mares together. But Beliver was interested in the other stallion, her ears perked.

Ajax suddenly froze. There were three stallions in this pasture, and they weren't trying to steal one another's mares. He pinned his ears in confusion, and then saw the one that looked interested in him. He cantered forward, ending in a prance, and then arched his neck. He squealed and pawed at dangerously with his front leg. He tossed his head and then reared up, bugling his cry. Landing, he looked over at Holly, and then focused back on Beliver. She seemed interested enough, and if he had one, he could just extend the herd, gradually stealing from the other two stallions. He pranced, obviously showing off. |

Beliver took a step forward, nickering softly but Holly herded her back in with the group, snorting softly. Jay watched, awed. He wondered what her would do. Maybe something cool. Molly and Samurai went over to Toughy and began to graze, ignoring the others. When Holly herded her back in, Beliver sighed softly and gave a nicker of regreat.

When she nickered, he reached out to touch her nose, but then Holly herded her back in. He pinned his ears isntantly and trotted after him, not wanting to let Beliver go. He screamed his challenge, then went right up to Holly. He pinned his ears once more and struck out angrily with his front foot, showing Holly he meant business. He reared slightly, nipping towards the other stallion. |

Holly reare dup, Liz herding the mares away to go by Toughy and the other two. Samurai instantly interferred with the fight, rearing to her full hight. She was taller then both and when she came down, her teeth snapped at Ajax and at Holly. Molly glared at Beliver, who watched with wide, adoring eyes.

As Holly reared, Ajax mirrored him, but moved forward slightly, trying to hit him in the process. He came down and then watched as Samauri came over. His eyes showed confusion. Why was she joining in? SHe was a mare...and he had never experienced that before. Shaking his dial, he focused back on Holly and ignored the mare, wanting to win Beliver and the other mares. |

Samurai bit at him while kicking at Holly. He grunted adn backed down, bowing hsi head. Samuria was lead, even though she was a mare. No one messed with any of her herd, not even her mate. Her kicked had landed in Holly's ribs, only hard enough to push him back some and knock the breath out of him. She aimed a kicked for Ajax ribs as well, while her teeth clicked in his face.

He snorted in surprise when she bit at him, and he returned it, not knowing wha tthe order was. And even if he did, he would fight to stand up for himself. He wouldn't back down like Holly would. As she sent a kick towards him, he danced out of the way, feeling it graze his flank. He was used to a lot more, so he wasn't phazed. He would treat her like a stallion now though. Charging forward, he bared his teeth and bit out at her face, then sailed past, kicking up at her as he went by. He circled, wodnering if he had hit her. |

Samurai sidestepped his kicked and laid her ears back, her teeth bared. Now, Holly and Toughy came up behind her, Toughy humbly standing behidn his mate, taller then her, adn Holly snorting, his eyes narrowed as his short body pranced. If he wanted to take her on, he would also have to take these two on also.

He shook his head from side to side, arching his neck as he did so. Prancing forward, he made it seem as if he was going to relax and not fight anymore. But when he neared them, he whinnied and was up on his hind legs again, striking at Samauri with his front legs. |
