 Ajax wanted no part of capitivity as of now. He wanted to find his herd and return home with them..but that didn't seem like a choice. He was states away from them right now, and he couldn't find the right way back. It was all too confusing for him. He had reached the parts where the humans lived, and he was extremely cautious now. He trotted forward and saw the odd creatures...some with horns coming from their heads..then tiny ones. He flared his nostrils, taking in their scent. As one started heading over to him, he reared up, trumpeting his fury. How dare they even try to come near him. He landed and arched his neck, prancing back and forth. |

Samson bellowed, thundering towards the horse. His horns sliced the air as he went foward. IN teh barn, Jay heard teh comotion and looked out and saw the horse, his bretah catching. But the bull was thundering tossed him and Jay screamed for him to halt, the bull halting and looking back confused.

The stallion saw the bull, and he looked over in confusion, and then saw him charging towards him. He reared in challenge and landed, gunning it as he went forward as well. But suddenly, a yell tore through the air, and the bull halted. Ajax spooked and slid to a halt, then galloped off in one direction. Had that thing made that sound? He snorted and shook his dial, his forelock falling into his eyes. He trotted back to where he had been earlier and studied the creature with intensity. |

Samson snorted and tossed his horned head threateningly, but not attacking. Jay slipped under the fence adn walked over carefully, stroking some calves as he went. Turning his head, the bull grunt and took a few steps towards him. Jay stopped next to Samson and stared at the horse, his eyes wide.

As the bull tossed his head, Ajax pinned his ears and snapped the air, threatening the bull as well. He struck out at the ground, his foreleg rising and falling harshly as he dug. But then his eyes caught the movement of another. One that now stood beside the bull. His ears instantly went foreward, and then he stood stock still. He had never seen a human as small as that before. How could he possibly hurt him? He snorted and tossed his head up and down, but did nothing else. |

Jay quietly slipped his hand into his pocket and pulle dout a alfalfa cube. Samson's own ears perked up and he reached over to nibble at it, making Jay giggle and push him away while offering it to the stallion.

Ajax perked his ears forward once more as Jay reached into his pocket to retrieve something. His interest had been grabbed, and he took a step forward. He felt as if he could trust this small human...more then he could with the bigger ones. So he stepped forward again and again, until he was a few feet from the boy. He kept a careful eye on the bull though, ready to bolt or fight if it came at him. He craned his neck forward and reached with his muzzle, his lips moving to try and grab the cube. He wasn't going any closer though. |

Jay pulled it alittle closer to him, watching the stallion.Hey, its ok. Coem get the cube, he said soothingly, watching him. Samson snorted adn rumbled off, looking for any cows or hefiers in heat.

When he heard the boy's words, he snapped his head back in fear. Pinning his auds for a moment, he realized that the tone had no meanness about it, and he instantly felt silly for pulling away that fast. SNorting, he perked his ears forward once more and then watched as the sugar cube was pulled closer to the human. Did he really want it all that bad? The bull had wanted it...so it must be good. He pawed the ground for another moment before working up his courage. He stepped forward quickly and took the cube from his palm, and then hurriedly stepped back. He chewed happily, bobbing his head up and down as the taste reached him. |

Jay smiled softly and took a step forward, slipping hsi hand in his pocket again. This time, he brought out a bit of apple, moving it with his thumb. Josh had been training him on working with wild or troubled horses. Maybe it would work with this boy.

He tossed his head up into the air, his long, scraggly black mine flying around him. He snorted when Jay reached into his pocket once more, but perked his ears forward. That's where the sugar cube had come from. Seeing the bigger treat, he went forward more easily this time. Taking it hungrily, he backed up only one step this time. It was amazing he was trusting so quickly...but something about this boy told him that Jay wouldn't hurt him. |

Jay spoke to the stallion softly, feeding him bits of carrot and apple. A small smile came onto his face. Everytime he gave the stallion a treat, he stepped alittel closer.

Ajax was surprised at the amount of good, edible things coming out of the boy's pocket, he didn't even notice him stepping closer. He snorted after a moment, and kept chewing, occupied by the treats. |

Jay carefully offered the stallion a piece of carrot AND a piece of apple, his other hand reaching up to touch his cheek. It was shaking softly but he did it.

Seeing both, he couldn't decide what to eat first. So he ate the carrot quickly, munching down, and then started with the apple. When he felt the hand on his cheek, he spooked, not expecting it. He threw up his head slightly and backed away, slightly nervous. He shook himself as if to calm down, and then stared at Jay once more. The touch hadn't hurt him..so why was he so afraid? He snorted and stepped forward once more, sorry that he might have scared the boy with his sudden movement. |
