WHen she nickered, his ears went forward and he sighed heavily. As she nudged his nose, her eached forward and nuzzled her back, letting his head fall once more to the ground. His eyes traveled over to the others of the herd and he pinned his ears. He was still not submitting to them. |

Beliver looked over at the herd adn then back at him, her ears pinned back. She was part of that herd and if he couldn't learn to respect the leader and her mate, he wouldn't have her.

Seeing her pinned ears and understanding her message, he snorted. He couldn't respect them when they didn't respect him. Shaking his head, he turned away from her. It was hard to control a wild spirit, and he wasn't being domesticated yet. He cantered forward, pacing the length of the fence now. |

Beliver sighed and turned around, heading away from him. He could be a loner, she didn't care anymore. She was wild once but gave it up for a human and to be with her friends in their herd.

He whinnied loudly, again and again, over and over. He wanted to run...but these fences were too confining. He was ignoring the herd right now, not caring what they thought of him. He reared slightly, and struck at the air, then landed, jumping away. He galloped up and down the fence, looking as if he was going to crash through it. He needed to jump over it, he knew he did. He wouldn't leave Jay..but he didn't want to be near this herd. His eyes studied the ground, looking at the level and seeing where the higher parts were. He could jump pretty high, he had done it before. Snorting quietly, he galloped in the direction of the herd, looking as if he was ready to join them. But he pinned his ears and turned quickly, galloping towards the fence. It was high..but he knew if he took off at the right moment at the correct spot, he could just clear the top board. He opened up, then slowed his pace, collecting himself. He pushed off the ground a few feet away from the fence and lifted himself over it. He had to twist his back end so he didn't collide with it, but he made it over, and he landed on the other side. He stumbled a bit, but then kept going, galloping away. |

Jay watched him jump and run off, hsi eyes sad. He liked teh stallion but he must not have wanted to stay. A sigh escaped him and he walked to the barn. He punched the wall as he walked by, a move Sam showed him to get out fursteration.

He wasn't gone..far from gone. He just didn't want to be a part of that herd. He trotted through the barn that Jay had just entered, his unshod feet clopping on the floor beneath him. He tossed his head and caught sight of Jay. Whinnying, he picked up his pace and stopped in front of him, his eyes begging him not to put him back in that pasture. |

Jay looked at him adn smiled softly, scratchign his forehead. He could stay with Shady, ALexial, and some of the others, he thought and smiled at teh stallion.Would you like to go in a different pasture? You can't breed any of them or they wil hurt you, he said, even though he probably couldn't understand him.

He had no idea whatsoever what the boy was saying to him, but he liked the soudn of his tones. He relaxed instantly and bobbed his head up and down, snorting softly into Jay's face. He bared his teeth in a horse smile and then waited for his next moves. |

Jay smiled softly and rubbed shi cheek before leading him into the other pasture. Booger was in there with Shady, Alexial, Belle, Black Eyed, and Sweet Thing. THey lifted their heads and nickered softly, seeing the new guy. Booger ran over and tilted hsi head to aside, watching the sallion. He was gelded so he was no threat but the mares were not breedable. Jay put him in and left to do chores.New guy! Sweet Thing cried and ran over by Booger to stare at him.

He didn't flinch as Jay stroked his cheek, and he relaxed when he saw the other horses. He needed to be with others, or he would be lonely, but he didn't like the other herd. Except for Beliver...he was upset about leaving her. But she was mad at him anyway. He nickered after Jay as he walked away, and then turned towards the other horses, his ears perked. But he was still wary. He raised his head up high as they neared, and he waited for them to move first. |

Booger glared at Sweet Thing, aka, Pop.Be quiet. I think he is a mute, he said and Shady walked over, her barrel large with a foal.Hi, where are you from? she asked quietly. Even though she was the largest, she was the kindest and kind of a pushover. The toehr gathered around to look at him. He was different and new, what do you expect from girls and a gay guy -well, half a guy-?

He pinned his ears at the words of him being a mute, but then backed away, seeing everyone crowd around him. He snorted softly and then heard Shady's words. She was taller then him. He hoped she wasn't like the painted mare in the other herd. He was most worried over her.I am no mute...and I'm from Oregon... He told her honestly, and then waited for their next words. |

OOOO he can talk! Pop squeled. SHe got excited, very easily, Black Eyed walked over, black around her eyes so she looked like she got punched.Neat, a Oragon horse. Never got one of those, she said and she and Alexial herded Pop away. Alexial came back and stood next to Shady.Wecome. Let's introduce you to everyone. I am Shady. Thats Booger,the gelding. The excited one is Sweet Thing or Pop and the one who took her away was Black Eyed. This is Alexial. She is a mute, she said quietly, feeling tired.That is Belle, way over on the otherside of the pasture. Belle continued to graze.

Ajax pinned his ears and flinched slightly as Pop yelled out. He snorted in surprise and embarrassment at her words. He felt like he was on show. Shaking himself slightly, he listened to Shady's tones and nodded his head. He would probably need help with their names...He figured he should introduce himself.I am Ajax...It's nice to meet you all. Why does she stay over there all by herself? He questioned, his eyes traveling over to Belle. His buckskin coat was dirty and slightly shaggy from his travels and his life, but it was filling out and he was still a good looking horse. And he could obviously jump. His head went up higher as he heard a cow call out, and he snorted slightly. He hadn't liked the big bull over there, so he was staying away for now. |
