Miranda walked into the adoption agency, looking around. Her eyes looked upon various childern, each different in their own way and age. A soft smile touched her lips as she moved to look at the older childern and teens. The younger ones were cute but Miranda rather have older childern that had a chose if they wanted to stay with her and at the stable or not. She stood by the wall, talking quietly to a nun, asking questions on various kids.

Kayla sat on a bed. Quietily looking at her surroundings. She had been here a long time, and figured she would grow up here. Too long. She had seen kids come, seen them cry. She had seen the lucky, mostly younger kids go to a new home, and some return.
She watched the woman. No doubt she would choose a young kid, Kayla was getting too old. She sighed, sadly. But here eyes watched the lady.

Miranda talked abit more with a nun, Sister Rose, and smiled softly, thanking her. Before she moved, she lifted her arms above her head, holding her hands above her head, and stretched, raising up on her toes. An aduble crack sounded and she had her hands down and was walking over to Kayla. Her blonde pony tail swing back and forth as she glanced at different kids but her path was to Kayla.

Kayla looked away, trying to hide that she'd been watching. She gazed down at the book she had read a million times,'Thourghbred'. She smiled and wondered what to make of this women. Was it actually possible she was coming... For her? Nah. She was looking at another kid now. But when Kayla peaked the womans eyes were back on her. Kaya held her breath. She shut herr eyes and imagined, imagined what was happening.'No' her conscience said. It told her not to get her hopes up. Kayla imagined that the nice-looking woman was probabley headed off with some other kid now...

Miranda smiled abit brighter and her blue eyes looked at Kayla kindly.I am pretty good. Just have one problem though, she said with a sigh, fiddling with a bit of hair that escaped her pony tail.

Miranda looked at her with sad eyes.I have a great big house on a stable, with three kids, two teenagers so they are never around and one my little girl who'd rather be with her godmother than her own mother, a herd of poor horses who need to be riden, and a small pack of dogs who want to be played with, she sighed.One pooch is in my truck right now but I don't think the nuns want him in here.

My ooc problem: My computers being annoying. If i type in my username and password at hit ok, it does the regular thing and goes backk to the home page. But at the top it says "Welcome Guest. Please Login or Register." and at the bottam it says under users online, Cavalletti. So it's screwed up, and perhaps I should try a new account with the same name? If anyone can help me, please do. I posted this in all my threads. Sorry if its confusing. . K A Y L A . Kayla shuffled, eyes turned to the ground. She hoped she knew what was coming. She was a massive animal fan, not the type of kid who squals at a dog that jumps up. She had always tried to sneak in animals, lizards and a frog, and kept good care of them until a nun found them, she got in massove trouble with the most recent, a squirrel. Kayla remained silent, but nodded if only to show she understood the problem.

Miranda smiled at her slightly.Would you like to come out and meet him? My truck is up front because I can't fit both it and my trailer inthe parking lot, she said, tilting her head to aside. A loud bark come from outside as a another person came in, going to talk to a nun. HTe person looked like a priest.

Kayla looked into Miranders eyes, pure joy glimmered mixed with hope.
She nodded vigerously, and jumped up. Her head turned to the general direction of the bark, and she saw a guy standing there. That was strange, but kayla was only confused for a second before she shrugged it of a grinned, looking back at Mirander.

Miranda smiled and walked to the door, motioning for Kayla to follow. She smiled at the priest slightly. Hello Father Andrew. Have a nice trip to Rome? she asked the the priest nodded, smiling softly before going back to talking to the nun. Sitting in the truck, shifting excitedly and barking, was a pure white German Shepard. THe dog's ears flew up and it barked again, wiggling excitedly. Miranda laughed happily, letting the do gout. This is Pearl, or Lady Pearl if you want to get detailed, she said, scratching the dog's back soundly.Pearl barked again and wagged what she had of a tail, only a stub wherea long, proud tail should be. It looked like it was cut fresh, as well and the hair shaved on one thigh.  |

Kayla followed, grinning but avioding the nuns watchful eye. Seeing the dog, Kaylas face lit up.
Ohmigod, she is so cute.
She gave the happy dog a pat, smiling wide. Nticing the shaven area, and the tail, she frowned slightly, and looked to Mirander for an explination.
What happened?
She scratched the happy dog in a spot all dogs love, at the base of the tail.

Pearl wiggled her butt, running around Kayla happily before bounding over to Miranda to give her some kisses.Pef, down Pearl. I will have to scrub my face, she scolded teasingly, petting the Sheperd.When she was helping out herding cattle, the bull went after her, chasing her onto the road. A truck hit her but only her tail was badly broken. Her hip was factured but its almost healed now. She cooed softly, playing with Pearl's ears.But her tail so was badly crushed it had to be removed. But that doesn't deterer her at all.
